  1. I'm going for the drug test soon. what's that process like? I'm supposed to be there at 6:30 AM. is it worth getting there like an hour early? was wondering if it was a first come first serve type of thing or it doesn't matter? furthermore, do they do your medical that day as well or they make you report for that on a separate day? much thanks in advance!
  2. Yes for sure. hopefully in time you can get into West Farms or kingsbridge. I would like to get into a Manhattan depot but my gut feeling is that you need some seniority to get into one of those depots. hope I'm wrong though
  3. well that's good to hear! I am glad you are happy at your depot. that definitely is a huge benefit, especially while on probation. Fresh pond has good lines?
  4. ah okay. that's cool. surprised Manhattan wasn't open at all. ideally I'd like to get into one of those depots but Brooklyn would be cool too.
  5. okay. thank you so much for all of your insight on this thread! you've been super helpful!
  6. hey dee for when you go for the drug test did you wear business casual attire like it states on the pre employment packet or do they not really care? thanks in advance.
  7. nice. is that where you wanted to go? and were there a lot of choices in terms of depots to go to or were your options limited?
  8. congratulations on your success to this point! do you know what depot you are going to be working out of yet?
  9. I know I'm late to the party, but was this exam for LIRR conductor or MTA conductor as in the subways?
  10. wow, congratulations!! you must feel so relieved! did you get hired for mabstoa or mta bus?
  11. can it be a paper copy of the permit and does it have to be hard copy?
  12. okay, thank you for the info! i will consider taking the train there. i will be coming from Nassau County, Long Island.
  13. okay, thanks a lot! besides having the CDL what else are you required to bring? and also, what's the parking situation like near 149 pierrepont? is there a garage nearby for parking or is it all street, metered parking?
  14. i received an appointment to come in for an information session in April at 149 Pierrepont Street. what was your experience and what does it entail since there's evidently no more exam.
  15. Hello everyone, I’m new to this forum and having read several threads today, I gained some valuable information. Anyways, i recently applied to take the upcoming mabstoa B/O exam and i was wondering how the job is really like. I know of the few general pros and cons that go along with taking a position as such, but any additional information, preferably from those who have had first hand experience with the job would be greatly appreciated! If all goes well with the exam and I get called for the position, is it an opportunity to pounce on without thinking twice about it? Thanks in advance!
