  1. Well that's why im only extending the Eliot Ave half to Ridgewood, and not both the Eliot and Rego Park half.. the reason why the Rego Park half gets sent to Flushing is because there is no direct one seat ride method right now to get from Rego Park to Flushing; all options involve backtracking out to the 58 or the 7 train.. those on the Eliot half who are going to Flushing can connect to the Q58 by leaving/entering the bus at 108th Street

I dont think anyone would want to take the Q38 local route going through Middle Village and everything when they have a Q58 Limited up to Flushing.. the Ridgewood/Downtown Brooklyn routes are a different case as they are all local routes

  2. Well my idea was to extend this half of the 38 to Flushing because I know there is a demand for it in this area.. There is no convenient way to get from Rego Park to Flushing; all the ways would have to involve backtracking (R train to Q58 or R train to 7 train). The Q38 going to Flushing should bring a significant ridership boost to the whole route itself. For those living on the Eliot half, perhaps their new route can be adjusted to meet up with the Q58 in Corona.

Yes it could be extended further down to Ridgewood if desired, however, how that would be done would need a bit more thought.. however I also want to make sure the route doesn't get too long or else it'll still end up being delayed and bunched up.

Didn't know the 44s were capable of screaming like that. Thought it was only a 60-footer thing, especially prevalent in the 32s.

the 44s had similar motors to the 32s and 42s... damn I miss the 44's on the A, it's just not the same with a 46..

  4. Allshit (i mean alstom) should NEVER build anything at all for NYC again. The end.

if this hasn't been said already since I didnt read through all 10 pages lol the MTA is supposed to go with whoever has the offer with the lower price. Me I think they will probably end up with kawasaki or bombardier again; of course it would always nice to see a 3rd party manufacturer come into the subway however.
