Won't fleet assignments be a pain with 4, 5, & 6 car sets? The last time they did it, it was still all singles. The only B division trains that were married were the R-27/30. Can't do a single unless it's isolated from the other 10 thanks to non-convertible full cabs.

Although the R-62A has improved, the 62 beat it. I am guessing they are due for a SMS. As far as the NTT's go the R-142 is still smoking the R142A

The R-142 had a plagued beginning, and now have a higher MDBF than the R-142A's. The M-7's are very reliable, and that order was botched in the beginning. Hopefully, the R-179 will be as reliable.

The community shot it down because of all the houses that were to be condemned. They were going to keep the section on Fulton but straighten out the S curve. That's why they shot it down.

Easily done with married pairs, vs. unitized.

Re-enable the last step of Field Shunting, and they don't have to go anywhere. That would make sense, so it will never happen.
Back to the C, unless they throw a curveball, and it's the B.

Should have never neutered the SMEE's to begin with. Bring back field shunting already. Their performance would be right there with the NTT's. They were all quite peppy back then.

If I am not mistaken, the R-44SI have the same propulsion as the R-46. Could snatch one R-44SI A car, and a R-46 A-A set, and voila. You now have your four car fan trip.
I know, keep dreaming.

I still think they should be moved to the 4. To me, it would make more sense with their narrow door openings, and less stops on the Lex. Can one of our RTO guys please shed some light on it's feasibility?

You still have the same problem. Outside of the Eastern Division, all R-160's are in 5 car sets. Unless you lock out two of the cars, they will be too long.

That vibration complaint was so long ago it was when they still had Rockwell trucks.
