Not just that but a network neighborhood!?
ha I don't think I've ever used Network Neighborhood. Every time I double clicked it back in the day I didn't understand what popped up and immediately hit cancel.

You mean like a blow torch to cut up that thing and make money off the scrap value.
Don't be a hater...just because it's not doesn't mean it's not worth TRYING to save...

The total came out to $1,845 with tax.

I've posted this one before but this is one of my favorites I've ever taken because of the time of day, and the sky color which almost matches the LED. It's a simple shot, but it has a cool feel to it to me, very laid back end of the work day kind of feel:

That's why you use Linux for this stuff. There are no "traces"..I think I've said too much..*this post will now self destruct*.
QUOTED. So it may live in eternity.

Should have called me, I would have brought that Hard Drive back from the dead. Friends gotta help their friends keep their "blackmail" photos of their exes
Julio is just saying that because he would have saved those photos and made those HIS desktop background...

I remember when I was 14 I had a document on my computer that had some of the "secrets" of errm...how to treat a lady right...and I remember having a computer problem, getting it back, and guess what was in "recent documents"...IT guys forgot to cover their tracks...

Anything having to do with work trains and track work. Hell, I'd become a C/R and do RTO flagging.
Ah gotcha...should've taken the test back in Dec...

Ah, my mistake. I did hear the MoW is alot better to there guys then RTO. And that C Division is not as bad as A and B, but hey I only know what people tell me.
Thought you wanted to work track, not RTO Div C

Ah how the times have changed. I read that back in the 50's and 60' and even before then M/M took pride in fixing their trains before and RIC would show up. Isn't the rule now that if you can't fix it with your vapor key or cab key, you can't fix it. Now what kind of problems on the road would RCC tell you to fix?
Heh. Yeah I've heard the stories. If it was a fuse or a circuit breaker and you called it in and the RCI had to come down, you were gonna hear it for a while if it was something that could have been easily fixed. Amazing how things can change so much in just a few decades.

How are you supposed to get a tour of CIY without the Transit Museum sponsoring it?
As I've said before the best way to get a vest unless you are an employee is to know someone. It's a highly sought after item by some who have devious intentions which is why we call them "the foamer's holy grail". MTA does not want unauthorized people to have them for exactly that reason. They're not "give aways" they're meant for the employees. If you were to get one it'd be a favor from someone you know, nothing more.
The tour you won't need a vest because there will be plenty of people with vests leading you around, plus you won't be going anywhere you'd need a vest, like a yard lead or the roadbed. You will tour the shops, and likely see some of the equipment headed for the reef. Likewise when there's a tour train movements are kept to a minimum except what is absolutely necessary and the group will not be near that.

Has the power supply been wired up yet?
Also the yard tour were I got my vest was a long time ago and was not run through the museum.
Hasn't been wired yet AFAIK, I didn't take a full walk back there though so not 100% positive. Even if it gets wired though we still have to build a ventilation shaft and poke a vent in the wall to outside so that the MA gets cool, sawdust free air in the intake

Ok, will do, just remember I don't know nothing about shop work, so if I break something, its not my fault
Heh...you'll be heavily supervised, don't worry you won't get anything out of your comfort level and remember you can always ask questions too.
On a side note the center casting on the Broad st. truck has now been modified to take the Arnine so it can be a shop truck for the Arnine when we do the motor swap.

Speaking of getting stuff, Drew, by any chance, think I could get a pair of those NYCT gloves I saw you guys using at BERA?
Come on up again in June and stick around for shop work

Well, I said I was going on the Nostalgia ride on August 2nd, and they have included the 207th Street Yard/Shop tour. I was asking if I would get one at that yard/shop tour.
I know. I am well aware of that trip and tour. Like I said before Vest ain't gonna happen unless you know someone, just stating facts.
Just think if the tour of 207yd is part of the nostalgia ride, you're not going to be the only one going there!

You are not going to get one at a fan trip. In fact if there is one place you are virtually assured NOT to get one it's a fan trip.
The trips are a lot of fun, but along with the regular visitors, railfans, museum members, and curious people who just want to ride an old train for a day, they also bring out "the foam line" - so the reasons for this should be pretty obvious.
Best way to get one is to know someone...

what kinda girls are YOU meeting up with...
Eh, I'd actually rather a girl NOT be interested in trains, lest she be one of the types described in the "does the railfan community attract a certain type of person..." thread...
For those of you that know think IRTgirl...
