I just received my notice to report but on it, it says you are being considered for probable permanent appointment as a train operator (yard). Does that mean I will only do yard work my entire career and never do live passenger work? Or is that what I report for but as I gain experience I can move? Thanks in advance

I'm not sure if this question has been asked but my list number is 27xx. is there a good chance that I might get called this year or next year
