  1. Just completed my training for traffic checker earlier today. After a month of training only one person dropped out of the training. Looking forward to start working again next week. Also I heard from my trainer, there will be another training class scheduled for traffic checker on December 3rd due to many checkers got promoted to cleaner. Good luck to all that is in the list waiting to get called for pre-employment process.

  2. Hey bknightshadow45, it's been a week now and I'm curious as to find out how has the first week of training turned out.

My first week went well so far. Lots of informative and intense training in the past few days, however it's been helpful so far. Looking forward for week two of the training.

  3. Oh, ok. That sounds easy. Well, enjoy the training. How long is the training for the traffic checker position? You probably have butterflies in your stomach since monday is around the corner.

I'm looking forward for the training on Monday. The training last 4 weeks from what I was informed.
  4. Nice! What did they asked? What took place during the processing? Since it was the final processing, are they going to call some more checkers in the future? Man!!!!! Where is my letter when i need it!?

Basically what final processing is like is filling out paper work and a brief interview. Basically during the interview it's an overview of the paper work was given to you at the day of the final processing and the orientation.

  5. Nope. Not as of yet. Still waiting patiently. I hope I didn't miss my letter or appointment.

Hope you did not missed your letter or appointment for the position. The MTA started to call people for final processing last week for traffic checker and I went through the process last Friday and the MTA hired me to work as a traffic checker! I start my training on October 22nd.

  6. Just go to the MTA Office located in Downtown Brooklyn. The same place where you take the MTA exams. Just ask your status regarding for the traffic checker exam to see that you are up to date that they may give you your random list number if your name comes up.

  7. Have those who signed up for this exam received their letters yet? It's nearing the November 7th test date.

And do they let you know if you weren't selected? (What's up with this lottery crap anyway, MTA?)

I have signed up for the Traffic Checker exam and I got my letter in the mail today that I got selected to take the exam on November 7th. Just wondering how to prepare for Traffic Checker exam and is there a study guide for this exam? The letter only stated to bring some No.2 pencils, Calculator, Watch, Eraser to the exam.
