  1. What does this train advisory mean? Is the E going to Lexington Ave-53rd Street on the 25th? Thanks! http://travel.mtanyct.info/serviceadvisory/routeStatusResult.aspx?tag=E&date=01/25/2014&time=&method=getstatus4
  2. http://travel.mtanyct.info/serviceadvisory/routeStatusResult.aspx?tag=E&date=12/29/2013&time=&method=getstatus4 What does this mean for the E train today? I have to get off at 7 Av/53rd Street and I was going to transfer at 14th street/8th ave. Will I have any problem? Or do I have to take the D train to get there? Thanks!
  3. My aunt thinks it's at Smith-9th Street, but I want to make sure.
  4. What does this mean? http://travel.mtanyct.info/serviceadvisory/routeStatusResult.aspx?tag=L&date=06/07/2013&time=&method=getstatus4 Will the trains at the 1st and 3rd ave stations head to 8th Avenue? Thanks
  5. Okay so my dad turned 65 yesterday and that means he is entitled to the reduced fare metrocard. My question is how does one pay for this metrocard? My parents don't want to do the easypay option. Is that the only option though? Thanks!
  6. So it can be used but only for a week? So my dad wasted $21 basically.
  7. By accident, my father got me the 7 day express bus pass and he thinks I can use it on the bus and train, but I don't think so. Does it work on trains and regular buses or just the express bus? If not, can I get a refund? I don't use express bus and I don't want the money to go to waste.
  8. Is there a way to get to Atlantic City from Penn Station? Thanks.
  9. I know this may sound like a stupid question but I know the after a certain time doesn't stop in Manhattan on a weekday. I wanted to know when does the stop running and thus turn into a shuttle train from Myrtle-Bway to Metropolitan Ave?
  10. I feel bad for that young man that got beat up. I guess these days to avoid a beating, you must mind your own business. As for Canarsie, I never been there, but I have family that live there and they got broken into twice while they were in the house, but I'm sure it's not the worst neighborhood out there but I'm sure people who never been there are skeptical to go there, but that could be with any neighborhood you are unfamiliar with.
  11. AW  That sucks! But even an Essex St extension would be good too. At least people who want to go Uptown can take the .
  12. This past weekend the was running from Metropolitan Av-57th Street. Would it be a good idea if they just do this every weekend? Instead of people taking 3 trains to go to upper Manhattan.
  13. Not sure if this is the correct forum to ask this question, but it sorta has to do with trains I guess. Anyways, tomorrow I gotta take the ferry, but I'm being driven to the ferry as opposed to taking a train to the ferry. My question is, Is it still free to take the ferry without a train transfer? or do I have to pay to get in the ferry w/o the train transfer?
  14. I usually hate panhandlers/beggars who are not on the train but go in Bryant Park and Union Sq and ask for money. I was in the Lexington Ave/53rd Street station and there was a young pregnant woman sitting down and the sign said "I'm pregnant and my boyfriend left me" or something like that and that she needs to go to California. IDK if it was a scam or not, but I gave her a dollar.
  15. Yeah that's what I might do. Because it says the is running on shuttle buses or something and it does say from 1130pm to 5am but I don't trust that. I'm probably going to take the to the . No problem.
