It's very, very rare an operator will have a different sign up "by accident". If it's a different route, and someone comes and corrects you, then that's fine. There's many times that it's justified. There's also times the dispatcher will order the operator to put up a short-turn sign to push folks onto the bus behind you just to get you back on track. It happens.

 

Passenger: "you're only going to Eastern Parkway?"

Me: "No, I'm going to Eastern Parkway."

 

Call me what you want, but fucck that.

 

 

But I'll take those questions over the "is this a limited?" any day.

I would beg to differ because those buses looked quite dirty well before it became cold to the point that they couldn't wash them.  I don't think their buses are as bad as Yukon's but they're certainly no Yonkers or Eastchester that's for sure.

Yeah I guess someone kinda forgot about that part for the last several months... I think it's funny that UP is constantly slamming other depots about their maintenance when there's has been slipping for a while now even before the new Prevosts arrived.

Yeah well they stopped washing those Prevosts way before the weather got cold so that excuse doesn't fly either.

While I agree with you about ENY not taking care of their buses, Ulmer Park isn't much better.  When are they going to clean their Prevosts? Buses are filthy already... Is it that hard for them to run them through the washers at the depot??

Well the minute it happens and those buses are keen'd and fueled, we will change it on the roster.

They are keeping you busy with all these moves.

If there's an member here on the site, Who drove Ulmer Park's #5079 on the B6 tonight..... at Rockaway Pkwy. You probably know the story. Too much detail here, but it made my night. But it had do with a white bus driver, a hispanic husband and (of course) my mother.

 

Now this sounds interesting..

everytime i ride an XD40...i write down the # i had...so i rode every XD40 in the brooklyn and staten island fleet except 4865 and 4890.

Now....from the First time i rode an XD40 was DEC 6...on 4843...and my last XD40 was today of 4897.

Guess how many XD40s i rode that entire time from DEC 6, 2011-Nov 21, 2012?

Wow , I only saw one today & it was on the lift. Everything was other orions or xcelsiors or 5xxx's

 

There where 2 in the back of outside yard getting the cameras put in them earlier in the day.

As of earlier today there where only 3 Novas left at UP.

Very nice reporting.. 4811, 4818 and 4827 were in service yesterday. train shuttle.

 

Thanks. Also they have been putting most of QV buses

on the shuttle work this weekend, because The fareboxs

need to be updated or something. It's seems the fareboxs

are not doing the designation signs correctly.

There are at least 9 more xcelsiors at UP from QV

4820, 4832 and 4833 came in today and the

QV drivers took back 8036,8037 and 8038.

4811,4817,4818,4826,4827 and 4835 are at the depot

and some are out in service!

And from what I heard, another 3 xcelsiors coming

in tonight and 3 more nova's are going.

I Graduated Today, got my shiny new badge, a customer service class and a "Get out there and do your job as you were taught to"

Usually you would finish line training, then be on your

own, on the upcoming Sunday!!

Enjoy being off on the Saturday after your training is done.

to go to ENY sometime today

Ulmer park has almost all xcelsiors , #'s 4841 , 42 , 43 , 44 , 45 , 49 , 50-59 , 61 , 62 , 65 , 66 & 67 .

Seems like there is only a couple missing from

the order being complete

Yup , most of them said they will come back next year or when ever they can .

Yea it happens often.

Theres a lot of them , they have no room at all for it so they park some outside . I havent had time to catch up with the moves @ ulmer park ,I dont hang there as much anymore because new drivers came in & i dont know them . The people I know , they come in early in the morning or late at night and I dont see them .

Yea I know the place is pretty packed lately inside and outside.

I know, a lot of the drivers changed with the system pick

and being the heart of winter.

They went , I asked earlier . More prevosts came in today too #'s 2481-83 . More coming tomorrow & xcelsiors .

Oh they did go! That's good more room for the new buses!

Buses 2805,2812,2816,2828 and 2853 where scheduled

to go to QV this morning from UP. Not sure if they went or not yet.
