  1. For sure GL, not sure about QSC and TBC. NYBS's fishbowls had the GM badge.

Yeah I forgot about Green Lines having the badges. Also about NYBS's fishbowls. Liberty Lines Express didn't have badges on their MCI classics but I know they had "MCI" painted on the front of the bus.

  2. Yep, 6352 had an Orion badge. That was bus was ex-NJT though. As far as I know, the MTA has never ordered buses with badges on them, not since the order the PA paid for with the GMC RTSes. The buses that do have badges were paid for by the DOT, and those buses were specced according to PBL operators who often kept the badges.

You're right about 6352. Just saw a photo of it. That bus was Ex-NJT 4002. Thanks for the number bro. I've never seen a MTA bus with a badge on it that was originally bought by the MTA. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong but, when the MTA inherited those Ex PBL buses, I believe they kept the badges on those buses right?

  3. Iv'e never seen a bus that was purchased and still had a badge on it, except for school buses, and very very few of the O6's up here. (Might even only be one lol)

I've seen badges on school buses before. The Orion VI had badges? I didn't know that.

I always wondered the same thing especially since when the PBL's were around you could clearly see the "GMC" and "Orion" emblems on their buses. It's probably cheaper for them to order buses without the emblem's. I'm guessing it's the same thing regarding the steering wheels...like how the new nova's and the latest batch of O7 NG's have that 2 spoke wheel opposed to the 3 spoke wheel design.

The PBL's is what started to make me wonder. I clearly remember that Command and JBL had that GMC badge on their RTS's.Then I wondered why the MTA didn't have badges on their buses. I personally like the badges on buses. Which PBL had the Orion badge? Was it Triboro? I don't remember too well. Maybe ENY knows the answer about the MTA and badges.

  4. Uh-huh... Had it for internet only first and then for cable too because before I was getting cable for free... Was renting from a relative so it was included, but I paid for my own internet since I wanted wireless. Anywho the internet was GREAT. I have to deal with crappy DSL... Half the speed of FiOS. The one thing about Direct TV is that the high definition channels look better than FiOS which I found to be interesting. I actually prefer Direct TV over FiOS, just that the damn dish goes out too much. I found out last Saturday after going up on the roof with the Direct TV guy that the morons that installed my dish have me and another person in my apartment building sharing the same dish!! I was pissed but for now I'm leaving it the way it is as I have to set up the time for them to come up and set up my own dish.

I currently have the DSL internet service. Speed is decent but I'm willing to try FIOS. That was the few things that I liked about Direct TV. The HD channels looked pretty good. Some even better than Cable. About that dish, The Direct TV guys did the same thing to me. I called about it and the response was "your landlord doesn't want to many dishes" I was upset. They eventually came with another dish for me after I told them constantly to get me my own dish. I really can't wait for FIOS though... You got to be careful on that roof bro.

  5. Here I was thinking Riverdale is an affluent area, so surely they'll have it. Even called them in advance to confirm and they yessed me to death. Turns out they only have it in certain parts of Riverdale. <_<

They did the same to me. When I called back to get a better answer, they told me that by 2014, all of NYC should have FIOS. I don't really trust that though... I'll believe that when I see it.

  6. Wasn't terrible... Once the main storm passed by it was okay, but during the thunder it started to freeze up. I guess that is why it is cheaper than FiOS. I can thank Verizon for not having FiOS in Riverdale. <_<

Lucky you... Like you, I don't have any FIOS available here in my area either. Once it's available here in my area, I plan to switch from Cable to FIOS.

  7. I always thought in fairness, the (4) should have gotten the 62A's. In fact, as the NTT deliveries were coming in, I figured since, the (4) got the 62's, along with (1)(3) and half of the (6), while the (2)(5)(7) and other half of the (6) had only rebuilds (redbirds). Some of the lines stuck with the redbirds got the NTT's, while the (1)(3) were passed up this time. But the (4) always got the new, and the (7) got handmedowns. The (7) should have just gotten the NTT's directly, and the (4) then just keep it's last generation cars like the (1) and (3).

So even though the (6) got from both orders, it still seemed unfair for it to give up its new cars and the (4) keep all of its. I guess because that's the premiere line of the IRT, and would have to get the bright new cars (over the previous generation which by that time looked dull and dim).

I see what you are saying here but the (4) is arguably the most important Lex line so it makes sense that they got the NTT's instead of staying with the R62's. That's how I see it in my opinion....

Well I don't think she would fit in those bucket seats.

Oh I see what you and LTA did there lol. But I rather have her stand. Much better view ;)
