Saw 2542 & 2552 working on the 24 line for the past week. also as for 1514 I always see that bus when I'm in elizabeth. they use it mostly on the 52 or 26.
"They had baby Novas working on the 24?!?!?!?! "

So save for any recent moves, here is the NJT Depot by Depot Roster:

Thanks to everyone who helped out by contributing... and to those who drove me nuts. Enjoy!
"Awesome!!! I am IN LOVE with Hilton's garage emblem! Ironbound's is really good too. "

Coach Usa/ONE Bus has 1556,i saw it on the 24B earlier
Hilton has 1354,i saw it on the 1 at Broad and market St.
"Did the 1556 on the 24 have the orange Luminator LED destination sign, or the same old green flipdot one?!"

Well, while i was in Downtown earlier i saw the 6328 on the 1 at Broad and Market St.,so i'm assuming Hilton is getting the newest Nabi's now then.
Oh also while at Broad and Market,i found the 5265 on the 1 as well.
Wow! Orange still has Novas left, so I guess theyre just replacing the un-rehabbed Novas.

I read somewhere that it could actually end at like 65XX.
That would make more sense. Especially considering Hilton, Coach USA ONE Bus and a few other garages still have lots of Novas left.
What are they going to do about the suburban Novas from 2001 that they use on the go25?!
0 -
"Yea it looks like it. I know the NABI delivery stops at 63XX..but what exact number will be the last NABI?! "
0 -
"NABI delivery is up to 6318. Just spotted it on the 94. "

Just rode on 6313 on the 94
1 -
"Just saw 6298 on the 94 to Union-Rt. 22. I'm confident the NABI delivery is up to at least 6300 by now."

I'd like the CT's better if they had NJT seats and the number destination sign on the side.
BTW is Hilton short NABI transits or something? Because I saw two Suburbans doing the 52 today.
Funny, cause I was just riding on a Nova last night on the 107. lol

"My girlfriend rode on 6286 on the 94 to Rt. 22 today. "

"Saw 6273 on the 34B downtown Newark the other day. Even got a picture of it. I guess all of Orange's Nova B's really are on their way out..-tearz-"
2 -
Oh yeah. When I worked at Newark Airport Terminal A I've seen Red & Tan AND ONE Bus Nova's being used for that route multiple times, they only have a handful of MCIs (NJT owned, ex Greyhounds and the newer MCIs that they purchased) to use for it.
"Hm. I guess it makes sense that N.A.E. got the ex-Red and Tan NABIs before ONE bus, but I'm still wondering why Egg Harbor, and Orange have gotten NABIs, even though they have Novas in the 1300s. I can understand Egg Harbor getting NABIs since I hear their Nova B's are on their last legs..
But Orange's Novas are running perfectly fine. And isn't the NABI delivery stopping at 63XX?! Which means, at this point, they only have enough NABIs left to replace the whole Nova B fleet at Orange. Will they order more NABIs or is NJT just planning on replacing the Nova Bs in the worst condition?!"

Wow my question is why?? Market St and Orange don't need the latest batch of CRAPIs when the southern division needs them as bad as ONE Bus does
My thoughts exactly. Hilton & Orange (moreso Hilton) have some of the best-kept Nova Bs in the whole system. Those buses could easily last another 3-5 years. Yet, ONE Bus who are operating on beat up Nova Bs in the 1000s STILL haven't gotten replacements.
Another question is, why did most of the ex Red and Tan NABIs go to Newark airport express rather than to ONE bus?! Makes no sense. Was Newark Airport Express even running on NJT Novas?!"

"Just saw 6266 on the 94 to Linden. I heard someone else in another thread say they saw 6268 on the 28 so I guess Orange is getting 6200s to replace their Nova Bs?! "

"Saw 6147 on the 66 today in Union while on my lunch break. What did Ironbound get more NABIs for?!"

"Just saw 6244 on the 72 in Bloomfield, going towards Paterson."

Newton Ave got 6000-6008
"Newton Ave has to have 6001-6008. 6000 is at Hilton. I see it all the time on the 25. It started off at Orange, then was apart of that 20-somethin bus trade with Hilton. "

"This morning I saw a 6200-series NABI in Irvington Center, with the "No Pax" destination sign, driving towards the Hilton garage. "
1 -
"Jeez, when is Coach USA gonna get the rest of the NABI's for the "ONE" routes?! They have 1000 series Novas, so they shouldve been ahead of Academy and Veolia- who have mostly 1100 and 1200 series Novas. Smh "

Why not? Who says the GO25 has to be on Suburbans? Besides, that's a rush hour service down Bloomfield Avenue, where that street really needs express bus service. If the neighborhood wasn't so crappy, they might have gotten Metro D's Suburbans when they were available. Yet, and this might sound bad, but Newark, Irvington, Bloomfield, Maplewood: Those towns are not Disneyland. Not safe, history of violence, history of robberies on NJT buses when the 107 and 108 took cash, now fareboxes. The same thing that happened in Philadelphia with the 400, 403, 459, and 463 after reported incidents of robberies, even on NBC10 Philly News when a B/O talked to reporters. It's funny that out of all the NYC lines that NJT have, only 5 are Exact Fare: 107, 108, 123, 125, and 126 (Though 123, 125, and 126 can use MCI's if necessary because I have done and seen all three use MCI's before).
BTW, I made an error on a previous post: GO25 services Springfield Avenue while the GO28 services Bloomfield Avenue. Sorry.
I'm not saying they HAVE to be on suburbans, I just can't see NJT using transit buses on their GO routes. I would think if they didn't care about having either transits or suburbans on the GO 25, they would've just painted one of Hilton's transit Novas in "GO" colors, instead of getting the suburban Novas..But we'll just have to see. Since those suburban Novas are from 2001, they'll probably be the very last to get replaced.

No more Suburbans are coming. My guess is they will use the other NABI's that are coming in soon and have those buses with the GoBus Wrap on them. Or just maybe trade some Suburbans for Transits for Hilton.
Yea, if no more suburbans are coming in, then they'll probably trade. They use suburban Novas on that route, so I cant see them using transit NABIs as replacements lol. The question is, from where tho?!

while we are on the subject of GO Bus
does anybody know when the NOVAs on the GO 25 will be replaced by NABIs?
I was wondering this too. Will they order more suburban NABIs to replace the suburban Novas used on the GO 25 or just steal a couple from another garage?!

"They might just use the same number pattern as the rest of the NJT NABI's just with "3" in front of it (like instead of just 6100, it'd be 36100, etc). Kinda how they did with the Novas.
This might sound weird but I really cant wait to see how the 24/44/31 look with orange LED destination signs. Lol I been seeein them with just the green flipdots for so long"

New Jersey Transit/Private Bus Operations: Deliveries, Moves & Transfers

Orange still has quite a few Novas B's on the road, to this day. This delivery is making absolutely NO sense to me now. I don't get why they just didn't replace all of Orange's Novas at once, instead of retiring some, then sending NABI's to Hilton, and now (seemingly) sending more NABI's to Orange again to finally replace all of their Novas. Cause there's still a buncha Nova B's left at Hilton as well..-____-
