hello, here are my first three questions, Will appreciate if someone answers

I'm on the list for exam 8096 transit electro-mechanical maintainer. When I call DCAS system says that list was published on dec, 2 but not established yet, so

 

1. what does it mean?

2. I'm unemployed from nov 2008, if i get called from that list will it agffect their decision to hire me?

3. I know when you go to employement center on 180 street, they have you fill out application where you need to put yourprevious company info.

What if they call the company and no one either pick up the phone or say they do not know you?

 

The reason i worry about this because my last employer first laid me off but then called back and i did not answer, so I do not know whet his fillings now
