Overall experience-DC is an awesome city, and Union Station is IMO one of the best stations in the world. Modern very airport terminal-esque sturcutre combined with classic old school train school train station strucutre. Very cool.

 

Also, its interesting to note that DC Union Station uses both low and high platform. When I arrived in DC I used high platform, but leaving I used low platform. Interesting. Not to mention the fact that it is my first time using low platform to get on a heavy rail train in US.
