Brace yourself, New York.

 

Forecasters added Long Island to the list of areas under tropical storm warning on Thursday as Hurricane Earl and his Category 4 winds barrel toward the Eastern Seaboard.

 

The latest warning in Long Island includes areas like Fire Island Inlet and Port Jefferson Harbor.

 

A large swath of the East Coast is under warnings and watches as Labor Day weekend approaches and winds have picked up at around 145 mph. That includes areas in Massachusetts and Maine.
