"The tormented Rutgers freshman who jumped off a bridge had complained to a dorm adviser and two other officials that his roommate spied on his gay tryst and streamed it live with a webcam.

Tyler Clementi, 18, whose body was identified Thursday, wrote in detail on a gay message board and Yahoo! about trying to muzzle his voyeuristic roomie through university channels.

His posts betrayed no hint of suicidal thoughts, but made clear he was angry and didn't want to room with tormentor Dharun Ravi any more.

The talented, shy violinist said he went to the dorm adviser and asked for a new room after learning about the first violation and then discovering Ravi invited his Twitter followers to watch a second sexual encounter.

"He seemed to take it seriously," Clementi wrote in a post about 15 hours before his Sept. 22 plunge into the Hudson River from the George Washington Bridge.

The teen said in the posts - first reported on Gawker.com - that he also reported the incident to two unnamed higher-ups.

A Rutgers spokesman declined comment on the web postings, confirming only that an investigation was ongoing."
