They're an interesting story but railfans tend not to care much about them because there are no living examples. While I don't edit Wikipedia often, I put together the entire Composite article there because it's a joke that the first NYC subway car had been previously described as "The Composite was a NYC Subway car built in 1903-04." If you want to learn more you can check that page (which may have been edited since I last edited it). Personally I find the old equipment more interesting, including the Composites. I probably find out eventually. It's still very sad it along with several other first generation cars were scrapped. Yeah it was a damn shame. If you know who to ask, it's an easy one to find out and most people who know the story will tell you but it's not something for here in front of all the railiens.
