The R46 for OpenBVE

Recommended Posts

Great job error! This sounds 100% better than the first one!

Everything about the motor sounds top notch, except for a few minor things.

- The 'buck' noise should play once the train starts accelerating, the second the train starts moving.

- Better audio recordings - for the 'buck' noise (there are two unique ones - one when the train starts and the other after the first note finishes), and for the dragging noise. Check out this video for a reference:

But other than that, the train is definitely one of the best along with your R160A! I can't wait for this to come out!! :P

The R46 is sounding amazing! Other than the points that you've listed that you need to work on, there are only a few problems I've found on the train.

1. The flange sounds are playing too low and aren't as well "defined."

2. The idling sound (don't know what it is) isn't present. That's the sound that comes on and off on R46s that start out with a whirring noise and then sounds like an R160 HVAC.

Listen to this video at 0:17 + seconds.

3. Don't really know if this is a problem or not, but the R46's acceleration seems a bit too fast after 20 mph. But this might be slow t/o operators I've rode with.

Other than that, it sounds amazing!
