Tracking down the CTA rejects!

Recommended Posts

So, ever since Trevor informed us exactly why we are still seing DE60LF, and C40LF models, I have been on a mission to track them all down!

First Stop Detroit!

I am actually supposed to make a trip to SMART tomorrow to get photos of the 2 buses they purchased, along with 2 new hybrids they took delivery of this week. However, while out and about today, I caught something rare! Both in service, downtown at the same time!

These are cell pics because obviously I was not expecting to see either of them today! I'm pulling out the camera tomorrow! So I will have pics and vids this weekend!

The build plate shows August 2009. Sorry about the quality!

Very neat. I'm based out of the A2 area myself.

And nice catch -- I've only seen one of the SMARTics in service, but then again, I haven't had much time to try and stalk 'em downtown.

I'll be in A2 next week to stop by AATA, and U of M. I haven't been in the AATA garage in about 8 years now. They are going to an all "Green" fleet in the next few years.
