NE933 Posted December 23, 2011 Share #26 Posted December 23, 2011 I notice trains going either direction on the sharp hook towards Astoria enter slow, but then speed up so much that by the time the last two cars or so are still on there following, it seems enough to wobble them off by too much centrifugal force. I often wonder the disaster should ever one of these subway cars leave the tracks and crush anyone below; the approaches to Queensboro bridge are right under it and any casualties would be massive.
