CarInspector Posted February 9, 2012 Share #1 Posted February 9, 2012 Hi all: I was hired as a car inspector by the NYCTA 3 years ago. I love my job, and I love the trains. Right after I got hired the MTA made massive lay offs, but I kept my job because I was permanent and not provisional. Since that time they have hired more than 600 more car inspectors. If the MTA is now crying that they have no money for raises, then why did they hire 600 permanent car inspectors? That is more than $400,000 a year in costs alone. As far as the rest of your post, I'm not even going to comment on that one!
