KeystoneRegional Posted March 21, 2012 Share #1 Posted March 21, 2012 (03/19/12) PIERMONT - State officials are instructing contractors working on plans for the new Tappan Zee Bridge to include a 12-foot-wide path. Bicyclists across the Hudson Valley are rejoicing at the news that the new bridge will have a special lane devoted to biking and walking, though many are still critical about the lack of mass-transit options being developed for the bridge. Contractors hoping to get the $5.2 billion job to build the bridge will have to include the walking and biking path in their plans.
