I’m tired of corona, concourse yard & Canarsie. Need something better please let me know Broadway Junction station along the platform for the ENY Yard, Pitkin has some areas like the public parking lot for the Linden Plaza buildings and the block around Pitkin yard (I don't personally know the area myself, but I know a lot of areas are public), East 180 St station for the Unionport and East 180 St yard obviously. Unfortunately, there aren't any other yards worth checking out with public access and a good shot of view trains unless you're crossing the Belt in a car or taking the through each side of CIY, you could walk along Shell Road underneath the for a view of Ave X yard, but there's really no other way of a good view unfortunately.
ABCDEFGJLMNQRSSSWZ Posted June 21, 2023 Share #3 Posted June 21, 2023 Climb a tree in Flushing Meadows Park in Willow Lake for Jamacia Yard. Willow Lake is sort of abandoned but technically open to the NYC public. Never personally been to 240st Yard but according to Google Earth, there's roads around it on higher elevation, but most are blocked off by a thick layer of trees. May be worth a try in the fall or winter though.
