5lineismine Posted June 9, 2009 Share #1 Posted June 9, 2009 Hello! My first subway ride was with my dad in the 1950's. The noise was so loud and the movement so scary, I bawled like a baby. I don't do that now. Such a first trip non-withstanding, I have always found flanged wheel on steel rail fascinating. Any journey on our incredible subway always has something of interest. Thank you for letting me join this fine group. May it be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. P.S. A friend of mine worked on the new "Taking of Pelham 1-2-3."
