Congrads, on those who began their journey in School Car today!!! Does ANYONE know when the next School Car class begins?

Just got the call to go in on Friday the 30th for medical and hopefully final processing! Has anyone else been contacted? I have no holds medically as of December...I will let you guys know how it goes Friday!

How did it go? Any other info on School Car?

I was just told by the lady behind the desk the next class is Feb 9.

Sorry I was confused after I just saw a post that some received a letter with a list number in the 37xx range

No problem. There are differences between last hired, called for drug test, & medical exam. I am in the 3,700's range, no letter yet. I believe you are in the 4,100's range. If they keep hiring like they been you should receive a letter by June.

Is the list number @37xx?

According to DCAS last # appointed 3,316.

Does anyone know if the Dec 1 School Car class is filled already?

Sorry, I don't know the exact number. Only information they give over the phone that is the last list number hired which was 3,137. However, I'm list number 3,40x and already took my laboratory for HR and I'm currently awaiting a call back for my full medical. I hope that information helps.

@SubwayGuy is on the money. I had 7a-3pm for actual school car hours. 9am start for Road ops days, 3pm start for Fire school. One day I was at Jamaica yard, the next, all the way up in the Bronx at Concourse yard, back down to Coney Island the next. Not to mention on certain days, you could start class in one yard, finish the day at another location. Lots of travel. Now I'm heading into Yard posting for 3 weeks then YX until March. All of my locations are different. One day report 00:15 @ Concourse, the next 02:00 @ 207 yard.The following week, different shift. After that, another shift. Get in now so you can somewhat plan arrangements. Good luck.

To answer your earlier questions I first went for a drug test on 6/26 then was called back for a second one

10/15. I received a phone call on 10/17 to come in for full medical as they wanted to try and get me into the 10/27 class but I was unable to make it down to the office in time for a physical to get into that class so I went in for medical on 10/28 and was out of there by 1'oclock and will be in the 12/1 class. Can't wait.
