  1. The next class is scheduled for 2/25
  2. Time to wait for the phone call to come in for the medical. And if you pass - you get sworn in and will be told when and where to report for Schoolcar.
  3. If you don't mind me asking, what day did you go in for your drug test? Forget that question - just went back to your other post. I was there yesterday too.
  4. They send a pre-employment app with the initial drug screen letter. That application only asks for 10 years. And the one you leave with (21 page app) asks for everything since H.S
  5. Just a litle bit of advice for those that haven't gone down for the drug test yet - get there early! I got there @ 7a and already had quite a few people there already. I did get out by 10a though. But if you get there at 7:30a, you'll more than likely have to wait forever to have your pre-employment papers reviewed - which means you'll have to wait that much longer to give your sample to the lab. And that wasn't any fun on my part because I started drinking water 4:30a.
  6. Received my letter to report to Livingston this Thursday for the drug test. List #580-600
  7. I'm listed between 580-600 and I still haven't received the initial letter yet.
  8. I don't work for MTA yet - and even I know that no employer will pay a person $30+ an hour for an easy job. If we all go into Schoolcar with an open-mind, mouth full of questions, willingness to learn and a humble disposition we should all be fine. If you're not willing or don't posses those qualities - step aside now so you don't waste your time or the TA's. Good luck all and keep checking your mailbox ( I know I am - haha!!) With that said - my list # is close to 600 and still no letter. :-(
  9. Hell if they want my Nursery School info - I'll give it. What's the worse that could happen if TA contacts them. "She had a history of stealing crayons and waking up the other kids during nap time". LOL!
  10. Did they ask you to come down for the drug test or something else? If it is for the DT, did they explain why you didn't receive a letter. GOOD LUCK!!
  11. I figured as much. I just hope the person with the list # in the 330's gets they're matter resolved. I could only imagine how I'd feel if the same happened to me. Hey Justin08 - they're getting close to our #'s!! :-). Keeping my fingers crossed!! BTW, does anyone know the upcoming class schedule for '13?
  12. I'm pretty sure this question was asked before in this forum - Did they institute the 1-and-3 rule for the O/C list as well?
  13. Good advice!! No kids which means Uncle Sam has his hand in all of my pockets including my purse! Hahaha!
  14. Agree with you 100%. I plan to work as many RDO's as my body will allow the first few years. Not as if I'm a party animal right now. Rather make $$$ than sit on my behind at home. Haha!
  15. I was told I won't have a life the first few years (when I get the job). I said "I'm fine with that... At least my bills will be paid up and on time. And I'll be able to save a lot of money so when I do get a somewhat decent schedule and vacation time - I'll be able to afford all the bells and whistles". Yep!!! I don't mind sacrificing my social life for a bit!!
  16. Thanks for the info! I'm close to 600...*Fingers crossed that they fly through this list* Good luck to you as well. :-)
  17. Is there an automated # to call to receive this info? Or do you have to speak to a live rep. @ 212-669-1357?
  18. Congrats!! Sorry about your other job though. What range did your list # fall in?
  19. Is there a # to call to find out what the last list # that was certified? Or do I just have to call 212-669-1357 to speak to a live operator and inquire. I'd much rather an automated system because I could only imagine how many people call just to ask that question everyday.
  20. Congrats again!!! I know plenty of folks who work Transit - they basically all said the same thing. Ask questions in School car, and if you still don't understand - ask again. And when studying Signals don't try to memorize them all at once - try to memorize them in groups of maybe 5 or 6 at a time. Hopefully the majority of your classmates will pick the B so you can pick on the A Division :-). Best wishes!!
  21. If you don't mind me asking, what list # were you? 150's, 160's, 170's?? Good luck!! Can't wait till I can say the same!
  22. No letter yet :-( I even put my Mailman on alert to look out for the letter. LOL!! I know many others said have patience, but I'm sooooo ready to start this next chapter in life. I know it'll be difficult, but any and everyone of us hopefuls have to realize we've got to give this 150% if we get the opportunity. Good luck to all!!!
