  2. Due to a sick customer at Grand Concourse-149 St, southbound and trains are running with delays. Some northbound trains are terminating at 34 St-Penn Station and 96 St. Allow additional travel time.

  4. As promised, a (sortof) brief update from this evening!
  5. Update from the last week, there's a Network Rail track testing train due past in a few hours so expect another brief update later today! Only a small selection shown, more to be found on my respective Youtube and Flickr accounts!

A fairly busy Bank Holiday weekend (train-wise!) has just passed here, which saw a fairly large quantity of engineering trains alongside the usual trains and also a late night visit of a track testing train!   7. Due to a police investigation at 145 St, service changes are as follows: There is no and trains between 59 St-Columbus Circle and 168 St in both directions. There is no trains between Brighton Beach and 145 St in both directions There is no trains between 34 St-Herald Square and 161 St-Yankee Stadium in both directions As an alternative customers are advised to use nearby train service or M10, M11 and M7 bus service.
  8. Only one train of interest about today as an empty stone train (6M67 11:50 Broxbourne Redland Aggs to Mountsorrel Sdgs) with Class 66 diesel locomotives 66135 leading the train and 66118 on the rear passing through my local station. Couple of photos and the standard video below
  9. There is no and train service between Gun Hill Rd and 241 St due to FDNY activity on 225 St and White Plains Rd. Customers are advised to use Bx39 bus service which will make nearby station stops. Allow additional travel time.
  10. Yes if that could be done it would be brilliant, I was only going to use this for my Youtube but I've got a lot of pictures etc going on as well now and would like to share them all, so if the title could be changed to reflect that it would be helpful!

This past weekend saw me venturing into new territory with my camera as I headed for the West Midlands with a few friends for the day to cover some train operations around the city of Birmingham! Photos and videos of the trip below along with some of the more usual items from my home station! (note photos sized at 800px x 448px, if this is too large please inform me immediately) Hope they were of interest!
  12. Due to signal problems at Grand Central-42 St, the following service changes are in effect: Northbound trains are running with delays. Some northbound trains are running on the line from Nevins St to 149 St-Grand Concourse. Some northbound trains are running express from 14 St to Grand Central-42 St. Allow additional travel time.
  13. Due to a police investigation at Av H, trains are running via the line from Coney Island-Stillwell Av to DeKalb Av in both directions and there is no train in both directions between Brighton Beach and Broadway-Lafayette St. Allow additional travel time.
  14. As you can probably tell by the silence here. the train action has been a bit low! However things have picked up again, with the usual engineering trains and the first venture to London with the new camera to film at a special depot open weekend! Yesterday saw major disruption on my local line as a rail defect at Broxbourne prevented trains from Stansted Airport and Cambridge reaching London for a period of time and any trains that did make it through were running rather late. To make it more interesting, Network Rail test trains and freight trains were also attempting to run in the gaps!   18. The Easter weekend in the UK sees the usual closures in one place or another, the West Anglia Mainline seeing a fair amount of work on the Tottenham Hale/Seven Sisters - Hackney Downs zone, all videos from the last few days can be found on my channel, otherwise here's a few clips.

Northbound trains are running on the line from 57 St to 36 St [Qns]. Allow additional travel time.

  21. 3rd Class 66 locomotive of the week makes it's appearance with 66206 providing power on 6M29. Before linking the video, a quick explanation of the 4-letter codes I use in my video. As you may have noticed, each consists of a number, letter and 2 further numbers. First number is the type of train (passenger, freight, special etc), letter implies where in Britain the train is going and the last 2 number differentiate between trains on the same routes to and from the same places at the same time! So as an example 6M29 is a freight train that is limited to a top-speed of 60mph and heading to the Midlands area.
