  1. @standclear no. I was in the center table at the back. Last chair. Mostly operators where I was sitting.
  2. Mail/letter for initial contact for drug screening. After 1st drug test is complete expect a phone call to come down for medical/final processing. Drug test are good for 90 days. If your 1st drug test is going to expire you will be contacted via phone to return for another. School car info and start dates and locations for start dates after final processing will be given to you via a WELCOME/orientation package that is handed to you with instructions at your final processing at 180 Livingston. Last thing: make sure you keep weekly or bi weekly contact with 180 Livingston / b.shivers and ask her for an estimate as to when you think you may be called. If you're next up she will tell you. If it's 2-3 weeks she will tell you. So don't be shy. She is very helpful. And trust me she knew my name very well from all the calls and she never gets upset by the calls. I would apologize for bothering her and she would tell me not to apologize because it was her job. Good luck everyone. And feel free to ask me anything. I will try my best to answer your questions and or get the answers to your questions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. With the new contract that was just ratified the starting pay is now 31.87 for new comers. After training is over and you have 250+ road hours posted you will be making 33.87 for year 2015. And 34.50 in 2016. The gap between starting pay and top pay for train operators is about $2 give or take. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Motorman was changed due to woman's rights and equality. Train operator does not does not have the word man in it. So to answer your question train operator title was changed from motorman a while back. That's why you probably still here the name floating around. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. The sad part about @TRAINMAN's comments is that he actually thought that I was asking a question by saying (what he said) followed by arrows pointing up to let everyone know that the post above my post is accurate info. He misunderstood that for "what he said????" With a question mark at the end as if I was mocking the post which I was not. Then he says I sound corny!! Only because he doesn't understand that my statement wasn't a question. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Lol. Grown men acting like babies I swear. By saying " what he said" that's just confirming the information on here so that those who are seeking info can know that more than 1 person confirms the info. @trainman just to set the record straight that was the first time I ever said that. Not sure why you're so frustrated by it but it doesn't really matter. This forum runs dry for weeks without a peep from many of you. At least we are trying to keep this thread alive and give as much info and hope to others as possible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. Sounds good!!! I'll be in dress code. Just can't stand wearing shoes. So boots are great for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Dress code question? Are all black boots ok? Or does it have to be shoes like the paper says? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. More or less Matt. I hope it's sooner for you. Let's just hope that this list keeps a good pace going. 200-300 list #'s a month so far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. @mtahopefullmatt based on your list # if they keep hiring the way they have been lately then you're probably looking at January 2015. Now don't take my word as gold because I really don't know the answer to that but if everything continues as is then my math tells me January or possibly December. I did the math for myself and I thought I would be called around august/sept for the drug test. I ended up getting called down for D/T on 2/10. So you never know. List expires 2016. And the last eligible certified list #'s are late into the 4500's. It's definitely a good sign for you. Remember a lot of eligible people decline the job or start it and don't like the job and leave. You got medical holds and all kinds of other things that could factor in and get you called sooner than you think. I got called about 6 months ahead of my "imaginary" schedule that I thought of based on the forums and movement of the list#'s. The waiting is the most difficult part of the process. Keep yourself busy and healthy. And make sure your paperwork is order now. Don't wait til the last minute to clear up any issues you may have. Get a physical now. Check for any possible setbacks now. It will make for smooth processing once your name gets called. Stay positive and keep your ears and eyes open to any new developments. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Yes drug test first. Via letter in the mail. Make sure your address is current with DCAS. What's your list # range? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Anyone get called in for D/T or final processing recently? What's the word? @brownhornet @depmaze @axelt etc... How's it going so far? @apoca1ypse 11 days and counting!!! Make sure you get a back pack. You're going to need it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. @apocalype I feel u bro Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. @brownhornet that's exciting bro!!! Seems like things are moving fast and going well so far. Congrats my bro!! 12 days and counting for me!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk @3rd rail you do get boots as well. I don't know how soon but I know you get boots. Hats, gloves, jackets, coats, vests, caps and winter hats, pants, shirts long and short sleeve, sweater . Head to toe you're pretty much covered. You also have an option to buy additional clothing as you see fit. I believe you get clothing allowance every 2-3 years maybe someone with more knowledge on the topic can help us out with that one.
