Yeah, except the book. When we got to the two pages with no numbers, which was in the middle of the book I think, and we stopped. But I feel good you heard the next afternoon. That means I have time still.

The physical guy told me I passed. The visual lady spoke to me as if I was moving on. She never said I passed but we got into talking about jobs and she gave me the impression that all was good cause she mentioned how this was a great opportunity. Once I finished I was told I can go and nothing else was said.

Well I tried to email her just as a follow up and receive a response that says she is out of the office till next Thursday. So I’m wondering if that’s the delay.

I had my physical this morning and am under the impression I passed. I was waiting for the email for confirmation and still haven’t heard anything. When did others hear back about the results?

Thanks for the advice. I have seen this multiple times here and I have spoken to my fiancée about it. She seems on board and ready to deal with it. We don’t have kids at the moment so that’s a plus. But she understands the sacrifice since her dad worked for MTA-NYC Transit for over 30 years. So I think we are ready.

I decided to enjoy the last weekend of summer before going full throttle. I’m reviewing to ensure the info is fresh from S&D. But next Tuesday the sessions will begin. 2-3 hours daily after work.

How long is this physical? Just trying to gauge the time to get to work afterwards.

That’s quite the turnaround. But I imagine it also depends on filling the class? I thought we would wait a bit as well after phase 1.

Got the call also. Medical set for next Thursday. Phase 1 will begin 9/18. She did mention the instructors pick the location for Saturday and that Wednesday is at Hillside facility. But I recall one instructor saying that they do both days at either Ronkonkoma or Babylon. I truly hope that it’s the latter as Hillside might pose a problem with work on Wednesday’s.

There are some from June waiting as well. I think it will depend on scores/ratings and interview. There will be one more class for this year. That’s how I heard it at my interview.

I’m reviewing sporadically. It’s amazing what the mind can retain when you ingrain it in. I do make mistakes when I review but since I have been learning a new job I’m ensuring I learn that I don’t take away from that. But as I being to practice again it goes along smoothly and I remember again. And I’m with you @Lirrdream checking that email constantly. I’ll be honest, I just started a new job with the state. The benefits are awesome as you build time. The salary isn’t the same but then the stress levels are almost non-existent. But there is something about driving trains that appeals to me. I have always loved trains, as cliche as it may sound. So I am hoping for this. Im sure we will begin to hear something at the end of this month. @Stephen becker if you were interviewed you are set to go on to the next step. When that may be is something that can’t be measured. Just be ready when it comes. Learning the definitions and signals is complete dedication. I didn’t drink or party for all 5 weeks that I was studying and preparing. Barely did anything social and was working my previous job. And it paid off as I was only one of 3 or 4 (heard conflicting accounts) out of about 26. It’s nerve wrecking but so gratifying when you know you passed.

Nothing yet. I imagine it will be like the other emails/notifications. Sent out about two weeks before the start date. And that’s if we are selected.

Afternoon, Those that work at LIRR, does this proposed restructuring plan affect the hiring of engineers? I know it has been said that the department is short, but I figured I ask to possibly remove doubt. Thanks!

Next phase 1 class. Its standard questions about the job. And they give some scenarios that could happen. I had three of them and they were very nice, I was comfortable.
