  1. When you first go in you just give them the letter, and they will give u a number, you then go on another line where they give u a21 page booklet to fill out at home and three pieces paper you have to fill out there. You go and sit down fill out the paper and wait for your number to be called.once your number is called u go up and give them your completed application along with the documents they requested, sign some more paperwork, and then they send you to lab to do the drug test. Once you are done with the drug test . They tell you to go back to the desk to let them know you are done. When you go to the desk, they tell you that is it, you will get an email within 3 to 30 days with ur results and appointment for medical. You have to bring in that 21 page booklet, completed on the day of ur medical.
  2. My appointment was at 730, i got there at 650, they started letting people upstairs at 7, we started the process right away and i was done and out at 10:27 am
  3. She did say the 22nd but maybe she meant the 23rd becauseshe also said classes were from monday to Friday
  4. So I’m here now and we were told that everyone that is here today is being considered for the april 22nd class, consisting of 65 people and the next class will be June 3rd
  5. Did anyone fill out their pre-employment form? We have to go all the way back to high school. I thought it would have been back to 10 yrs the most. Omg I don’t remember dates.
  6. I got a letter to go for preemployment on april 2nd my list number was in the 70s. I didn’t receive my OPA results as yet though.
  7. You are sitting at a small table with 2 other people. One is holding up the photo and jotting down notes as u speak and the other is asking the questions for each photo. There is also a tape recorder on the table so u have to speak lound and clear. There were a few different people monitoring the 2nd half of the exam, so this was the case for the room i went into. It was a very small room as well so yeah personal. I don’t know if it was the same for other people that went into different rooms with different monitors.
  8. For the first part, the questions itself were very easy basic questions. How well you do all comes down to how good or bad your memory is. Just pay attention to every detail in the audio and try to retain that information. The audio for each section isn’t that long either. Im nervous as hell though because my memory is jacked up. The first part was 20 questions and then the second part was 10 different scenarios . So 30 questions in all.
  9. To the people that's asking about talks of classes or hiring, there was none because we're still in the exam phase. If u don't pass this part of the exam you are not moving forward. Its like process of elimination. I believe once every one that pass the first part of the exam is done taking the OPA, then a list is created. You can start getting excited once you are called from that list. For now just focus on passing the OPA. By the way, the OPA is a pass or fail and it will not be combined with the first part of the exam . I asked the exam monitor.
  10. Guys this is just the 2nd part of a 2 part exam. It's not screening, so no need to dress in business attire. Most people had jeans on .There was a guy in a suit then there was a guy in basketball shorts and a white tee.
  11. I wonder if the opa is going to be a pass or fail exam or percentage which will then be combined with the other score to get the average. Does anyone know?
  12. 1 also took exam 4/9 pm session I don't remember what questions 7 and 41 were but I know for sure that number 1 was c. Like u, I had b at first but after double checking my work I changed it to c. You really had to pay attention to detail with that question. That question gave u a list of things that the conductor did when they report to work ( in order) it told us what the conductor did and then ask u what they would do next. Well some of the things on the list had 2 parts to it. I don't remember what the exact question was but for example - conductor signs name and write the time - conductor report to train And then the question would ask what does the conductor do after he signs his name? I think most people would just put conductor report to train instead of conductor writes the time. It was one of those types of questions, I hope u understand.
  13. 47,000? Wow, this is exactly y I'm not getting excited about getting 100. U could get 100 and still have a list number of like 9000 lol.Im sure a huge amount of people got 100. according to one of the sites that posted the exam, you get extra points for applying early so the earlier u apply the more extra points u get. I applied on the very last day soooo.......I'm assed out. I guess that would be one way of determining the list number of all the people that got the same scores.
  14. I got 100 but I'm still not excited cause so many people took it. I'm curious to see my list number. Gong rats to all that passed
  15. I had no idea that there would be an oral exam as well. I didn't see anything like that in the exam notification. I'm not sure if that would be much help in the elimination process, maybe a little but not enough to make a difference. Maybe i have too much faith in people's abilities but I assume that most people would be able to speak clearly. If so many people weren't taking the exam I'd be a lot more optimistic. I wonder if there's going to be any interview questions. A bus driver told me that when he got hired there was no interview, once u got called and passed screening( medical, drug test), you pretty much got the job. Maybe it would be different with conductors though( different unions). All we could do at this point is hope for the best. Good Luck!
  16. There are 8 test dates. I did my application on the very last day and my test was on April 9th which was the first testing date. It's either random or the opposite, where the people that signed up last gets to take the test first having no feedback of what the test is like. Punishment for waiting so late to sign up, lol jk
  17. I took the test on April 9 th and I felt like they made it way too easy for the amount of people that's taking the exam. I've seen 4 different schools so far of test locations. I hope that the exam is not being given on all dates both morning and evening for each test date at each location. The test consisted of mostly comprehension and a few scenarios/ common sense questions. NO math, NO landmark location questions. I know I did well, but this is one test that I will not get my hopes up for because for how easy the test was compare to the amount of people that took it, I'm positive that a lot of people is going to do well. It's going to be like the sanitation test, where getting 100 is not going to be good enough.I hope I'm wrong, but I have a strong feeling I'm not.
