  1. Yes I have been staying on top of it, and the people I speak with are very nice. It's just more of a broad answer that you get in terms of how the test results are good for up to two years. I get the feeling that nobody wants to be misleading although I know that the next step is within arms reach. I'm not sure there is much else I can do but be patient like I have been, hopefully I will hear something soon. Thanks for the response
  2. Young you seem pretty knowledgeable on these matters so if you don't mind me asking, a year ago (Jan 2016) I applied for the Metro North Conductor Trainee position. In march of 2016 I took the test and passed and actually completed 3/4 steps including background check. Just recently as of Jan 2017 I was asked via email to update and resubmit my resume. I called and was told the recruiter for the conductor position pulled my file . My question is, what does this mean if anything, and is it hopeful to say that maybe I should be hearing about coming in for the fourth and final step which would be an interview/drug test?
  3. Just curious if anyone has been waiting to hear something since they submitted their background information for the metro north conductor position. I took and passed the test in March and submitted my background end of May. My background is clean I don't even have a parking ticket. But it's been a few now and I haven't heard anything. I know it takes time, I'm fully aware of the process. Just curious how it could move along in the manner it did for 5 months and then halt for 3-4 months. Any thoughts?

  5. Still nothing here. You? Anyone?
  6. My background was sent over to Metro North after the company was done with it two weeks ago. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes to possibly hear about the next step if and when? Thanks
  7. Ok sounds good will do, Thx. Does it typically take a little while to get the email link for the background check? Found out I passed a week n a half ago but still haven't recieved the link yet
  8. No I believe it was after. I think you meant 2006 but I understand. Was really just a jump off after college. Going back 10 years now I honestly don't remember.
  9. When the email for the background link gets sent to me and it asks employment history for the past 10 years, I plan on putting the only two jobs I've had within this time period (the same two I filled out on the app). What I'm curious about is should I put the one job I held for 6 months after graduating college in 2006 as well? I'm not trying to hide anything but I didn't list it on my paper app? Really the two other jobs I put consumes the past 10 years - 3 years for one and 7 years for the other respectively. Thanks
  10. Just got an email that I passed the conductor exam. I'm pretty excited. Email said there will be a link to follow for background check. I'm assuming when the background check is done I'll get called for an interview if all goes well? I guess what I'm curious about is, what are they checking in the background check and how soon after will they call for an interview? And then the medical/physical comes upon being hired? This of course all in a perfect world. I feel very grateful
  11. Hi are you all talking about the MTA conductor trainer exam?
