Yes it is. 500K miles is the threshold for buses to be retired at.
500k is not necessarily the mark for retirement. With the RTSs running for 20-22 years, they definitely accumulated way more mileage than that. Plus, there were some OGs, namely 2004-05 ones in Brooklyn, that hit over 600k around four-five years before retirement.

The date has been mixed, thought it was mentioned being at SC again. It's a mistake on that.
Meant to mention that: 3887, 3889-3890, 3892 and 3936 are the current Next Gens at MCH at this time.
Hale also has 3884, 3900, 3947 from Tuskegee

Already have it. 4124 is still at OHS.
4124 was retired, last ran 3/10 and was spotted at Eastchester Scrap on 5/21.

4252 from Tuskegee Airmen is running on the M20 (MQ).
3947 from Tuskegee Airmen is running on the M1 (OF).
In addition, 3947 has been confirmed to have a Hale sticker. Looks like a transfer rather than a loan

It is for NYCT. The quotes for MTA Bus were for the 289 clean diesel buses above and for the 250 express buses above that. There probably wasn’t enough space for that quotation on the same line, so it went to the next line, making you believe it was for the line underneath the quotation (which was the 245 artics).
Ah ok. Thanks for clarifying

Active procurements as of June 2022:
• 470 battery-electric buses
• 355 standard
• 25 standard (MTABC)
• 90 articulated
• 5 Nova standard battery-electric buses (award expected in 2022)
• 250 express clean-diesel buses
(MTABC)
• 289 standard clean-diesel buses
(MTABC)
• 245 articulated clean-diesel buses
Upcoming procurements
• 213 standard CNG buses (MTABC)
• 155 standard CNG buses
• 92 express clean-diesel buses
• 10 battery-electric test buses (unclear if this is part of the NovaBus contract or a different contract altogether; at least 5 are possibly coach units)
The 245 Artics are for MTA Bus? I initially thought that they were for NYCT.

Did you actually see the bus or are you just going by the tracking? 1445 is a Far Rock bus.
It's been at Spring Creek before, so it wouldn't surprise me too much if it's back.

4053 and 4083 (MHV) are currently running on Quill routes, namely, the M21 and M20.

As of yesterday, all Base Order XDE40s once assigned to Quill are now in service at Manhattanville. The last one to go into service at Manhattanville was 9599, after being fixed up for a couple months.

9596 was sent to MHV more than a month ago. 9599 and 9450 haven’t seen service in a while, but some have reported that 9599 is in MHV. Not sure about 9450, someone needs to confirm that one as I haven’t seen anyone report that one on this thread.
Last I heard, it was moved to Manhattanville on May 31st.

Sounds like a permanent swap here fellas?
Definitely something that’ll be in effect for a long while. Manhattanville has around 66 XDEs now

Mother Clara Hale has all but three of their XDE40s. Once they (and 9416) arrive, the XDE40 order will be complete.
Meanwhile, all but three of Quill's base units (9590-9619) are at Manhattanville. The ones that aren't there yet are 9599, 9607, 9610.

A whole LOT of the new Novas are already built at the Nova plant upstate....
The buses facing the camera seem to be mostly Diesels with some hybrids sprinkled in there.
Very interesting. I counted around 14-15 LFS HEVs, and around 27 LFS Diesels in this photo, give or take a few units. There were also a couple more units, but I could not determine what those will be yet.

Out of Quill’s Next Gens, only five have made it into the month of May. 10 Next Gens from Hale made it into May, but only five of which are pushing strong. (These are all 2008s btw)

9677 delivered to Gun Hill

We may have another HEV delivery pause on our hands. Mainly affects MHV and OH. The Diesels are coming in well however.

You know what. U might be right @1train2255railfan 4419 still in revenue service?
Yes. It is currently on the Bx28.
4420, however, has now seen service since April 23rd.

4449, a Grand Avenue bus, is operating on the Q55, a Fresh Pond route.
Unsure if this is a loan or a transfer yet.

Yes, that is correct.
It appears as of this morning said unit is officially retired along with 4419 out of Gun Hill Depot.
Did you mean 4420? That unit hasn’t run in a while. 4419 however is still pushing.

Where are the rest of oh's delivery?
They only need 9488-9489, 9492-9499 (10). Hopefully those units are at the JFK Vendor.

3861 has returned to Tuskegee from MHV. Must have been a loan.

Is anyone aware of the status of 4271? It was last seen in service on 3/22, and the last time I saw it (4/5/22), it was in the MHV lot next to four 2008 Next Gens which were later scrapped.

4261 and 4270 have apparently had theirs removed, replaced by signs from 4077 and 4083 (now retired). Unaware of any other units as of now
