Haven't updated on Academy's buses. I think I have tracked down all the unit numbers. I still have not been able to get any exact VINs on these coaches. Assuming the fleet numbers follow the VIN sequences, here's how I have it at the moment.
21277 - 16348
21278-21279 - 16350-16351
21280-21285 - 16353-16358
21286-21287 - 16360-16361
21288-21292 - 16363-16367
21293 - 16369
21294-21298 - 16371-16375
21299 - 16377
21300-21334 - 16379-16413At least 21282 has been inspected and is sitting in Leonardo.

Pembina has buses 21263, 21272, 21273, and units 16354-16355 (which should be for Academy). In Winnipeg there's units 16338 (possibly bus 21268), 16356 and 16361. That leaves only five buses - 21243, 21253, 21264, 21271, and 21277 - known to be at ADD. No confirmation on any of the Academy VINs just yet which are all Winnipeg builds.

It looks like some of their NJT D4500CTs have been given new plates. 17089 and 17119, which I saw on the 33 today, both had AX plates instead of their original AT plates.
The 12 buses that are back in service have plates ranging from AX-339D to AX-350D. They could not be reregistered under their old plates.

ICYMI, Bus 2000 (the first of these Gilligs) is on the property. Looks pretty sharp.

I never mentioned that as of last week we had some of the last wave of buses starting to track in Winnipeg. Units 16354-16356. No fleet numbers yet and no indication of the destination customer.

AFAIK Academy's 21xxx (21277-21334) are still not yet built. I think it's still possible NJT decides to reassign them to NJT instead to provide buses for Oradell as well as garages that donated D4500CTs to them. We expected 21191-21240 to be assigned to Wayne at first, but turns out 21198 and up went to Coach USA, so I wouldn't rule out such a change again.
Academy is still a private carrier on the long-haul side and will probably still need that final allocation of buses. Plans can always change of course.

Only two inspections this week on Wednesday, and they were 21267 and 21269. I think there are only a few waiting to be delivered from Pembina. Winnipeg plant likely closed on Thursday for the Canada Day weekend.
Still waiting for Academy buses to track up there....

21074-21084 from Meadowlands to Oradell
21085-21087 there now too

If someone can sneak in and get the VINs or unit numbers (last 5 of the VIN) that would be helpful because for the Rockland buses there are some that are out of order.
Meanwhile on the NJT side of the ledger, all of their 2021 cruisers are now in service. The last three went live today - 21092 out of Meadowlands and 21196-21197 out of Oradell.

21191-21197 are now the property of Oradell - first 45 foot buses ever stationed at that garage.

21191-21197 now officially assigned to Oradell.

The last two NJT-painted buses known to still be in Sicklerville are now at CMF as of today - 21155 and 21197.
All of the Rockland buses are now inspected, 21237 last one to get a sticker. Also getting inspected today are 21250 and 21265 with confirmed VINs on all three (thanks Ron Archer).
21194 and 21195 have left CMF and are now at Oradell.

Meadowlands update: the only 21000's not in service are 21092, 21155 and 21172.

Meadowlands has all buses in service except 21090, 21092, 21155, 21158, 21161, 21172, 21182-21184 and 21188-21190.
Wayne has all buses inspected but not in service yet. 21191-21192 still at Oradell for training.
Rockland has all buses inspected except 21237.
Suburban has 15 buses inspected and 10 yet to be delivered.
Academy buses not on the line yet.

Rumors thus far. Nothing has been decided yet. And we all know from our years of tracking this is that expected dates can be pushed back months, even years. All we know is that the infrastructure work is underway at Newton Ave, site of the first deployment.

First two Suburban Trails units inspected today - 21242 and 21248. Fleet number confirmation from the inspection reports, why don't all the inspectors do this, or why can't there be a field on the form for fleet number? Also, 21221 got inspected, so we have about three Rockland buses still needing inspection.

The last Meadowlands bus got inspected today.... 21158. So once those buses and the seven from Wayne go into active service, the NJT portion of the 2021 cruiser order will be done.
Rockland Coaches almost done with their inspections. Four to go which may be 21226, 21237, 21238 and 21240.
Suburban Transit's units are on deck.

Finally the final count of the original 6 year contract comes to a close.
There is a "spinoff" of the options not exercised and now part of a planned 172 RFP release by end of this year.
Now I am eager what the new bus specs will be that calls for a cruiser type bus. 40 foot? 45 foot? What type of propulsion? By time the RFP is published and selection is made, the product lines for NFI/MCI will be producing the next gen D Lines. I also don't see any another bus company that can compete with NFI in terms of meeting NJT road map goals. The 151 buses for NJT will likely be the last old-type D's for anyone. MCI is going to insist that any new contracts for NJ Transit (or anyone else) be fulfilled with D45 series buses whether they are the low-entry type or full high floor. Perhaps the only other manufacturer that could do that size contract might be Prevost Car. Prevost at least has a proven product.

Well it appears that DeCamp is coming back to life. They have reactivated a number of their buses for charters, specifically their most recent J4500's (no word on the two J3500's they got just prior to the shutdown), and even have some state buses reinspected and registered for the return of their commuter runs next month.

Thank you. Was just about to post that information here but there you have it. I am assuming also that the 2022 buses will include the remaining 30 lav coaches. None of the 100+ buses just delivered to Meadowlands has the john.
Shocking, though, that they're figuring out FINALLY how to make 45' buses work in Oradell - and when did NJT start getting 45' buses? Oh, that's right, 2002....
I analyzed the contract on the series page on CPTDB Wiki, and NJT will have 710 new buses in its own colors - 115 over the contracted for amount - and 509 private carrier coaches delivered, exactly the contracted total. (Of course that doesn't count the three 2016 demos, or account for the fact that some of those private carrier buses have been rescued by NJT.)
