Does anyone know how long it takes to receive results from the OPA?

Hey davon it takes a few months, but for some they never got an email stating they passed, but you could email the exam unit and they will let you know if you failed or passed. Now if you failed that would be it, won't be able to proceed any further. Also what's your list number?

I just got the email for track worker list 35xx. I’m currently a bus operator in my 1st year.  Do you think making the switch to track worker would be better or should I stay where I am?

So they are up to 35xx list, getting closer to my number 🙏 but to your question the veterans in this forum will be able to help you

Also, my OPA notice indicates that if the OPA is passed there’ll be immediate processing for consideration of employment. I’m reading in the threads, that might not be the case?

When I took mine last September, I read the same thing too on the notice but wasn't the case, gotta wait till they get to your list number 🙏

I have my OPA 2/14/2023, and my list number is 8xxxx. Do I take urine test and medical tomorrow? And is taking the OPA on first come first served? Wanted to know if I should arrive an hour before the scheduled time.

Hey Davon so you do need to arrived at least 30 minutes before you take the OPA because anytime earlier than that they will let wait in the lobby or outside the building, which happen to me when I took mine. As for medical and urine you don't do any of those until your list number is reach for pre employment. Now I can be wrong because I took mine last year September and only did the OPA. Not sure if it would be different now. Good luck my friend

I just received my letter for opa to go in February. My list# is 8xxx. Most ppl in the forum are saying it takes months or maybe a year to get a response back after completing opa.. what are my chances?

Hey Kellz so my list number is 77## took opa back in September 2022 and in December I got an email from exam unit stating I passed the OPA assessment. As of right now that's where I am at. No pre employment assessment yet. But now in your case, with list number 8k Seems MTA is still looking to possibly hire more conductor before this list expires next year feb. Cross fingers those in the 7k to 8k make it to pre employment before the list expires

@Mohamed call olha And tell her that people with list #  after yours are being called for pre-employment and you would like to check on your status.   You'll find her phone number in this thread if you search through it.

Thanks Milano, I'll give her a call tomorrow morning 👍

Hello all. Can someone let me know what list number they are up to?

I'm in the 3,600's and ready to get that call/email so I can start working.

Someone posted two post back that they had called the employment center and they said they called up to #3050 for pre employment. That was in November, so not sure how far they may have gotten by now. List is set to expire 2024, and maybe get a extension. Will have to see and remain positive

What's the difference between Conductor OC and Conductor Pro?

OC means open competitive for the public

PRO means promotion. Only those who are in a MTA position whether it may be station agent, track worker or dispatcher ect. And they want to switch departments they will then need to take a promotion test.
