  1. If I in your position, I wouldn't leave until I receive an official employment offer from the MTA. Even if you receive a canvass letter, you still have to go in with all your documentation, they have to perform background checks, drug tests etc.... Just because the list may be released in July and you scored fairly well doesn't guarantee employment and all the other stuff mentioned above takes time.
  2. The preemployment letter that some folks got included a list number that was from MTA's list. DCAS has to release the official list which MTA said should be comparable to their list... give or take a few. Should not be a drastic difference. They mentioned only those claiming veterans credit would there be a chance of a drastic difference if you don't meet the requirements (resident of NYS).
  3. They said when the official list is released canvass letters will be sent starting from the top of the list starting from #1. IIRC you can decline up to 3 times and this temp position would not count as one of the 3 since the canvassing was not from the official list.
  4. During preemployment they said they are short on T/Os and couldn’t fill their numbers from the last list.
  5. That is weird. On my letter the first listed is "original SS card". Maybe they just used a B/O letter template? I definitely didn't take the B/O exam and don't recall that the NOE stated CDL was required. I just recently went to 180 Livingston for my conductor OPA and just this week I received the letter for temp position for T/O. Should I concentrate more on conductor (knowing myself I'm OK with study material but getting terminated for not getting 100% on certain T/O exams has me a little worried.)
  6. Does your letter have 5 bulleted items under the requirements?
  7. Just a little more info for everyone... according to the proposed answer key I got 2 wrong. The letter I received for temp position (T/O yard) states I am list # 1XX. And on that letter it lists several things required for the position one of which is verification of CDL class B or at a minimum a learner's permit for CDL class B.
  8. Anyone know if you do not have your CDL license/permit if we are still eligible for T/O? I didn't realize it was a requirement before appointment. I received a letter for T/O temp position and it says to bring CDL or at a minimum your CDL learner's permit which I do not have at this point. TIA
