List #81X. Yes they told me what the problem was. I just have to get a letter from my doctor. I don’t want to say what it is specifically. I won’t get to see him until Thursday to get the letter (he doesn’t have any openings sooner than that). And I can’t go back to 180 Livingston on Friday because of other obligations. So I’m hoping I can go on Monday. But Monday is Christmas Eve. Does anyone know if they’re open on Monday?

I know I will be placed on med hold due to diabetes and sleep apnea...already using CPAP (just at 2 weeks today), and diabetes is well managed (non-insulin)...is there MTA paperwork for your doctor to fill out or will a general letter from my primary doctor stating that my current treatment regimen will not be a medical factor? Took forever to get a sleep study scheduled or this would’ve been done months ago...

a lot of people are saying that there's a chance we'll have to do 2 or 3 urine/drug tests. does that mean we'll have to do the application with your job history etc over again each time. is this what happened to those that went through multiple pre employment procedures? if so, what happens/happened to the first and/or second application(s) you fill(ed) out? do they discard them? can't they be kept and used again? how does this work??

They gave me a copy of the one I submitted during my 1st p/e to make sure everything was the same...sailed through 2nd p/e, now waiting on email for medical...list 85x

Why did it take that long.. how much earlier should a person get there so they can be out early ?

Luck of the draw once I got there...they were short staffed in the lab and all of the current employees getting pulled in for random tests go first since they are on the clock...there were people who got there after me that went before I did.

  4. Things to remember for pre-employment...

    1. Photo ID

    2. Social Security card

    3. Birth certificate

    4. High School Diploma/official transcript with raised seal

    5. NO GAPS in employment dates...dates must overlap (ended job a in March but started job b in April would be a gap).

    6. Prepare for a long ass day...I was there 13 ½ hours today...longest wait was for drug test. (MTA employees going for random tests take precedent and will hold up the candidates waiting).

    7. Listen to the instructions, and ask questions when you have them...

    8. Doors open at 07:00...try to get there before then...

    9. RELAX...
