Super bummed. soon as finish the drug test I’m think they are going to move fast. Then I hear they are hiring 60 per class, cool I should be up early 2019. Now I’m hearing about a hiring freeze for conductors and the last class of the month is coming up, which I wouldn’t even get in cause of my list number which delays the process. I’ll be patient but MTA playing with my emotions lol.

My list number 1,55x  I took the drug test in May, like the end of May. 

Ugh I was super ready for this job now more. Why would they call so many? Just in case people drop out? 😪

One thing I noticed during posting, is that they were calling a lot for Train Operators. 

They are not calling for extra jobs for conductors. There may be a hiring freeze. You guys have to be aware of the fact that they can do this at any time.

Spoke to Oha today and she advised I call after July 9 class. I told her I was high 1300’s and she said end of the year/ early next year most likely for hire. August class not certain. Horrible news but need to remember to stay focused.

its probably cause the drug test is expiring I would assume its 3-90 days? but that doesn't make sense May wasnt that long ago. I would call.

That’s what I’m trying to get a feel for I think I heard 300 people went in for April. I’m thinking 200-300 per class. 🤔🤷🏾‍♂️

@NAT212, yes, much better to disclose things.  There are people on the job who've served 5+ years in prison for felony convictions.  Not disclosing looks like dishonesty to Transit and if/when they find out they'll try to terminate you even if you made it through your probationary period and your job performance is fine.

 

On a different note, I'm 50XX and I haven't received my OPA invitation yet.  Are they skipping around?

They’ll get to you I think someone said they were 44xx and just got it for the OPA. They are moving quick tho

That’s a good question cause I wanna know the same. Does the drug test expire?!?! I’m 1,55* list number I know the June class is a dub. idk about July probably a dub. Too I think August is a realistic spot since the 90 days would be up 

Figured and the lady did say the medical goes by list number. If people still waiting with 500 numbers then I got a little wait to go sheesh they make it seem like you get called right away. Do they have classes every month? Or is always like in the spring and summer? I’m 1,550s range. Right now I’m thinking after August class I should get a email. Depends on who bombs drug and medical seems like still a lot of low numbers waiting. Hope everyone keeps us posted this a great forum

My list number 1,55x got my pre employment letter a few days ago, gotta report tomorrow Friday for the drug test. Anyone know how long you’ll be there?
