Great news!! Any dates you hear?

Was advised today that there is a freeze but not for operational employees (ie. conductor, t/o). Hoping for a class soon.

Did anybody hear of a hiring freeze? Classes were about every month. Figures they skip a month when I’m high 1300’s and they’re up to 1320 lol

Based on the pace of the last appointed. The December 31 class appointed 1041. April 1 class had appointed 1320. Its taking about 150 applicants to fill a class

Seems like it takes btwn 120-180 people to fill a class (70 per class I believe). Classes have been roughly every month.

Hey! Did you hear anything about an upcoming class?

Spoke with Ms. Vargas today regarding updates. She advised last appointed was 1320 in the 4/1/19 class. No updates on next class. I’m high 1300 so hoping for a class soon!!

No update regarding the next class after April 1- just spoke with Ohla. Anybody hear anything or have a range of what list number they are up to regarding the current class? From what I’ve read, it’s low 1300s and I’m high 1300s.

Exactly. Most likely, 1156 is up to the feb 25 class. Low 1300’s have been called for the upcoming 4/1 class I’m assuming

Although I can relate with the 3 PE's, I went in this week for the medical. I was put on medical hold, I was pissed too, but I have some things to take care of. Even with that, I am happy for anyone who has waited yrs to be sworn in. They give the rest hope that one day soon, it will be their turn. So they are not rubbing it, they are CELEBRATING, and sharing it with the rest of us who have been on the same journey.  

Sorry to hear. I hope it works out. I’m a bit nervous about BMI. I’m 5’9 and weigh 225, a BMI of 33. Any idea if that will hold me back? My neck is under 17 inches, which I hear also holds people if it’s over, so I’m glad about that.

Your bmi shouldnt be over 25 if i remember correctly & ur neck cant be more than 17 inches if u have both then they send u for sleep apnea testing, if u have sleep apnea they give u the cpap machine . The downside is during that time ur on medical hold so u might lose ur spot in the class if u dont clear the hold fast. 

Hey. My BMI according to 5,9 and 220 lbs is 35. My neck is 15 1/2-16. Can they put me on medical hold for that?
