Not sure what you do for NYPD... But if you're a cop, I know a lot of Troopers who started in the city and they're very happy working with the greys on instead.

You have a better chance than you might think. It's been 5 and 1/2 years. People have died, moved, got different jobs... Some may have disqualified themselves by catching some sort of criminal charge.... Some could be sick.. So you might think there's 2,000 people in front of you when it might actually only be about 600 at this point. Hang in there!

If I remember correctly it was about $19 or $18 an hour when I first took the exam, so the pay rate did increase.

Thanks. Some people made it sound a lot more complicated. I suspect they didn't know they were diabetic and found out at the MTA medical.... Maybe that's the difference. 🙏

Hey guys Can somebody explain the specifics of how it works for people with diabetes? I'm a type 2 diabetic and my A1C is constantly on the line of 6.2 to 6.6. I'm just curious what I might need when medical finally rolls around? Maybe I can prepare early. Thank you.

Went for OPA on January 26th. Scheduled for pre-employment February 9. Got an email January 28th says they need to reschedule my pre-employment. Still waiting. Fingers crossed. List 56xx

How serious are they about this "cell phones prohibited" on the OPA? I'm coming from upstate... That's a hell of a distance to leave my phone behind🤷♂️
