  1. Thank you so much for your answer. I got a minor medical hold, just headed to my doctor now to get a paper signed. I'll pick up the money order after that and see if they can get me in tomorrow. You're right, I asked a girl at the window about the money order and she said I would be able to go get one.
  2. Pretty sure I'm gonna be the only idiot in medical tomorrow who forgot to get the money order. I feel so stupid... driving two hours there too. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Anyone else do that?
  3. I don't even have a primary doctor. I deal with the endocrinologist only. Can I walk back in there an hour later with the update? 🤷‍♂️
  4. Guys with Type 2 Diabetes with a decent a1c like 6.6 - tell me the truth, how bad is it at the medical? Do they medical hold you for mild type 2 under control?
  5. Sorry,I didn't have a good answer so thought I'd try to make you laugh.
  6. If you could send those numbers over that'd be great, thank you. 🙏
  7. Someone a few list numbers after me got called for fingerprints - should I reach out to MTA and check that I didn't miss any notices?
  8. You should sleep on your side, that's the best thing. I've also always slept on my stomach until I found out the health issues it can cause.
  9. If you already work for MTA, I don't see why not. It's a promotional.
  10. The 6601 goes to February 2023? I imagine that will be the list to come after this one ends possibly. December comes, then a bunch of holidays... Then they need to grade it and send out notices...I don't suspect it'll be a big impact anytime soon
  11. I'm also ready to face whatever MTA throws at me. I'll be taking a pay cut and commuting from upstate - but I don't care. It's for my family.
  12. Why didn't you mention it to anyone while you were there for pre-employment? You could try examsunit@nyct.com perhaps 🤦‍♂️
  13. $70 cost of entry to a decent pension program sounds reasonable to me
  14. Wolverine can do nicely - for my current job I buy CAT boots and they usually ship from a wolverine warehouse... So I assume they're making them for CAT. After many pairs of $200 - $300 boots I found that caterpillar lasts the longest. Wolverine can't be too far behind!
  15. This has been asked and answered 100 times. Please read the previous pages, you're 5 years late to the party 🎉🎉🎉 🤦‍♂️
  16. Your list number is tied to your name so you might want to describe it as list #70XX Just a heads up.
  17. I think you'll need to email examsunit@nyct.com - and because you're dealing with an agency such as the mta, email them during business hours and if you don't hear anything back email them again the following week. Don't count on somebody seeing it and addressing it immediately. Keep emailing until you get an answer. If you are scheduled to take the opa, you will be able to fill out a correction form for your contact information when you go there. You might have to ask somebody. They offered it to my class as a "just in case anyone needs this..." At the time they only had my email address correct even though I emailed them already to change my physical mailing address and phone number twice.. After I filled out that piece of paper when it came time for the drug screening, I received text messages phone calls and emails, so I assume the paperwork was processed properly.
  18. Phones are fine but you need to turn it off when they tell you. If you can speak and understand English, it's easy. They're going to play radio transmissions and quiz you on what you heard. Then they're going to show you pictures and ask you what you'd do. (Like someone is sick or been robbed, etc) Monitor your inbox for anything coming from @nyct.com
  19. I'm just waiting on an email for medical... And probably a second pre-employment like most people had to go through lol. Right now I'm a NYSDOT contractor. Conductor would be a pay cut for me at first, a crazy commute too... but manageable and worth it eventually. MTA has good offerings and advancement from what I hear from people and see on the forums. The Thruway Authority has good stuff also without a test but the pay sucks the first few years.
