  1. I’ll be going in on Wednesday morning at 630am. I expect we will start 9/7 since we will be working holidays as well.

anyone know what’s acceptable blood pressure? And if anyone knows about the moving violations I asked about earlier? That’ll be great. Thanks

  2. So I have a quick question. If I was a little reckless as a youth and may have something on my record from the 1990's. How would I check this information and does it need to be reported? If so, where can I get the info ASAP so I can put it on the paperwork I am filling out?

Congrats to all the people who may be starting the job on 9/7. My question is what are your list numbers? You don't have to give the exact 4 digit number, but can I at least get an estimate (19xx? 194x? 195x?). I myself am somewhere around the 2000 range and want to see how long it could take.

Also, is there any word on a class beyond September 7th?

What up Leo. You will hopefully get called soon. My number was 19xx. I will say over 1980 to help you narrow it down. My score was 96.25

Yea what schef said, the crew office will try to keep u close to home. That’s the one of the benefits of extra extra life. Springfield gardens is close to far Rockaway so that’s another line the A train

A train is still kinda far. I usually take the LIRR. That’s what’s closest to me. I can get off at my stop and walk 0.9mi home or grab an Uber and get home in 5 min off of the LIRR train.

  5. So. First of all, congrats @Sfredo!

i also got the email with the conditional offer today. I also did the drug test 2 days ago.  I have to report on Wednesday 9/2 for medical. The letter said for the Sept 7th class as well. So I feel confident for the medical as well. I have good vision hearing and blood pressure.

is there any heads up I should heed heading into next Wednesday? And to reiterate my previous question on another post, if given a chance, which division should I opt for if I live in Queens?

    see whoever next week!

No but you will be there for several days tho, but Majority training takes place in actual train yards they gotta teach how equipment works so u go to the yards that have certain trains based on what division u end up in, it’s 10 per class.  if you’re able to pick division pick A if u live in Bronx. But I believe they are short A lot of B division conductors

If I live in Queens, would division B be better for me?

September 8th is what the union VP said. And yet there is a Big shortage of conductors. You should be good if u just took drug test and stuff. They could get back to you next week for medical and that following Monday u show up for orientation. Keep the faith 💪🏾

Thanks. That’s what I’m wondering. I did the drug test 2 days ago. Hoping to get the call for medical ASAP.

  8. Does anyone know for certain when the Conductor class will start and how big they may make the class? I know earlier in this thread Schecter said the TO class is capped at 28 ppl I think. I also heard from a Conductor friend that there’s a big shortage of conductors right now so there should be a big group coming in.

I’m just a little anxious and don’t want to miss out or be wait-listed again.

Hi, I would like to get my work history as well as soon as possible, you mentioned that you could request that info overnight.

To request this overnight did you have to order it from the ssa website or how can you get it?

    Thank You

Hi. You have to call your local office. I called the wrong one and they told me to call the one that is closest to my home. And “overnight” isn’t exactly overnight. You can mail your form with payment and “overnight” it to the local office. It will take maybe 2 days to get to them. They have to process it and mail back to you. Earliest it may get to you, from what the person at my local ssa office told me, may be about 10 days.
The fee is $91. You will get earnings history and each company you worked for. They only give year or month and year if I recall correctly.
There is another option that is cheaper but that literally only gives you the earnings per year with no company information. Make sure you order the $91 one. Good luck

@EAS what kind of paperwork did you have to fill out on the day of your drug test?

Just the form confirming my information so they can make sure it’s right then I sign. Had to go back with my copies to the hr section but the lady just said I’m done for today

Wow that sucks! Sorry to hear that. Keep the faith man. They’re calling. And who knows if someone doesn’t show. 🙏🏼🤞🏼

I honestly don't really know for me i went in on August 14th for the drug test and then got my medical email on  August 18th. So 2 business days my friend on the otherhand went in on august 12th for the drug test and he's still waiting for the medical, so I have no clue how 180 is going about this process, they're probably trying to limit the amount of people they have showing up for the medical for social distancing so it won't be overally crowded. I can tell you that when I went in for my drug test for conductor last year the thing took all day, this time when I went for the drug test it took less than 20 minutes.

I’m expecting it’ll be faster because of social distancing.

What should I wear to the drug test tomorrow? It did not say anything specific but was going to wear a polo short sleeve and like dressy chino shorts or maybe jeans. I dont know lol

The notice said business casual if I'm not mistake. I'm also going in for drug test tomorrow. I thought of wearing a suit. I may just do the shirt and tie with slacks or khaki pants. I'm also hoping that I get a quick response like Schecter. Someone else on this thread mentioned a class possibly starting in on Sept 8th. I'm very hopeful to make that class. Good luck to all of us heading down there tomorrow! I know I'll be earlier than scheduled because I know they also call more than just us from this specific list to come down for things like the drug test, etc.

    1. The rulebook is for every single MTA employee so find and read through the sections that would apply to you as a conductor in RTO and the rules that apply to everyone.

    2. I don't know the specific road to redemption if you're failing through school car but if you don't make it, you're gonna have to resign.

    3. Current top pay rate is $32.99, so starting would be $23.09. (70% of top pay) This current contract will have top pay at $34.74 in 2022. ($26.39 for you, in 2022)

    4. During, probably not since you aren't road qualified. After school car, yes. However, it isn't recommended to do OT during probation. The less time at work, the less chance for problems. But if you feel comfortable, do you.

This is helpful for sure, thank you. I currently make $29.50 p/h but I only log 36.5hrs a week. Clocking $23.09 for a 40hr work week brings me fairly close to my current biweekly net. Is the pay biweekly or bimonthly?
