Your induction date/hire date is the Sunday's date prior to the zoom meeting. Weeks go Sunday thru Saturday. 401K is normally a percentage that you can update/change as you see fit. There is parking. Get there early. Most arrive 45 minutes early. There's parking in the block no issues and there is a parking lot as well

@EASI have bee searching for a backpack too. I've been using the duffle I had in school car and after a week I am over it. Ordered one off Amazon i hope it's big enough. So much stuff lol.

Congratulations!!!!! Zoom call easy. Class will jump right in. Bring a bag for your books and equipment. Bring black pens and a notebook. Lots of reading!! And studying!! You'll climb on to a train from the tracks first week. It's pretty easy just follow what they show you. It's a deal breaker, if you can't you will be chopped. Hands on will start week 2 but lots, lots, lots of reading. Classes will be 7-3 first week or so at the MTA school in Brooklyn. Then you'll be at the yards. Road ops last 2 weeks. Midterms 1 written, multiple choice and a yard practical. Final, multiple choice too and a road practical. This is the basics. Keep in touch, you'll do fine. I was in the May class. I'm out on the road now in A division for a week now! It's pretty cool. Congratulations again!!! You'll do great!!!

Duffle bags for school car. No shoulder straps. A back pack if the straps can be removed and/or carry it by the top handle they sometimes have

Check DCAS and see. They usually don't respond per say but place you back

AMs and PMs. Usually 0700-1500 'and 1500-2300. AMs to start in classroom and PMs at the yards

It's not about overweight per say. It's neck measurement plus other health issues ie: high blood pressure. They will put you on medical hold and have you complete a sleep apnea test. I went to isleep very fast and I was in the next class. I'm posting next week. Next class is in July. Good luck

Bring a copy of the report with you just incase. Especially your results after being on it. I know they wanted it to be mild apenea with a >15 something . Sorry I don't remember exactly.

@playtoannoyyeah I got put on medical hold in Feb. But I did the sleep apnea test as quickly as possible and got it released by mid-March and got called for this class. Drug test again and medical again. But if you pass medical you get sworn in same day. Keep us posted! Look forward to seeing you on Monday. (via zoom lol)
