Yea I get that. I just turned 30 and have been at my job for 12 years. Change is going to be tough but necessary for pension and benefits etc . Best of luck with your decision.

I’m in a similar boat. I live in Staten as well, currently working a comfortable 9-5 making ok money. But I feel long term benefits and pension for the family is really hard to turn down. Not looking forward to the random commutes and hours , but I think it’s a necessary sacrifice

I mean sounds like you kinda gotta it made bud. It would be hard for me to leave somewhere where I’m steady have a pension and summers off to come work a brutal schedule and take a cut. Best of luck.

Cleared medical hold and hired last week Thanks for all the good information on this thread it was much appreciated. Some advice for people in the future. Be thorough, be polite. If you print out your own app don’t use double sided printing. Also make sure everything is complete even if the answer is n/a! If you haven’t gone for medical yet and are over weight. Get your self a sleep study. You’ll sVe a ton of time. Best of luck everyone

Just went in for a second lab yesterday and Going to In tomorrow to hopefully clear my medical hold. Anyone have experience with this? If I clear can I possibly be hired tomorrow.? Or will I have to go in again. Thanks In advance

curious if anyone can share process if i were to come off medical hold. they sent me home after the medical. still have my application. if i were have to completed that day would i have been hired that day if everything checked out? or do they have you come back again. thanks in advance for all advice 407*
