Something alot of people fail to mention from the start is that 90% chance you will be working overnights after Ojt, usually 10pm-6am The job is dirty, you have to deal with the shitty public most of the time and homeless and if working on the structure (Am) you have to deal with the weather, overnights you will mostly just burn up during the summer months in the tunnels. I mention all this because you mention you are currently at a laid back job making good money. Maybe other workers can add more input of the job.

Anyone know what list # they are up to? i heard there will be two more upcoming classes of new hires.

It was said to be possible after the august class, maybe someone from that class can give us more info

Hang in there, you are not far off, just factor in the people who pass the job up or fail the drug test etc. im guessing up unto #2500 have hope.

There is a class in ojt currently and talks of 2 more after. From the information i saw from the current ojt the list # was in the 2200’s.

That actually changed, i asked the other day. The current ojt class is in their second week and the next class is set and now there will be more classes after that,spoken from the instructors own mouth. Patience everyone

Yes, another urine test is done. New classes all the way until july so im sure alot more people will be called in.

I wish i went on a saturday then, i was there for hours, ended up leaving after 5pm 😤

I know the most recent class had non cleaning picks, supposedly the following class also will have non cleaning picks aswell.

There are suppose to be new classes all the way up to july, in my opinion anyone past list #3000 might not be contacted but you never know.

Mini pick during ojt will be during the second week, (no selection on the last) there is an april class and there will be new classes all the way until july so hang in there everyone.

Factor in a fake drill sergeant with bronx OJT, Women with bronx ojt will not have to worry as much as the men

Who is your instructor? The 40 will be split to 20 to most likely do 4 week training in the bx or bk. Seniority in the class obviously picks first and bk usual fills up first.

The extra commute time if you are far from the coney island yard is worth it. How big is the march class?

For the march class, when you get your choice of bk or bx in the first pick, definetly go to bk for your 4 week training if possible. 😅

Day 3 (induction) you will for the most part just sit in the auditorium of ps248 and sign in for attendance and watch a few videos and get some track related booklets. You can wear your boots although some people there probably had issues and havn’t received theirs yet. You can bring a bag if you want, should be a smooth evening. Same thing will go for day 4-5
