  1. As a fellow rider of the Q6 bus almost every day, I can agree that route needs arctics at least to deal with crowd control, its ridiculous every time that bus is almost always crowded
  2. Lmao I went to Jamaica High (it got divided into 4 schools now) and my initial reaction of cutting Gothic Dr off the Q30 stop I was like: Nahh bruh that is such a trash idea. Only reason cuz I and other students use that bus to go to school or going home (over the 65). What I also see is the Q25 cutting Melbourne Ave off that stop but students take that stop to go to school so like idk why they would do that... I just think it's odd.
  3. I also ask how do y'all feel about this with the congestion pricing going into affect soon?
  4. Overall, the final plan is alright its just that this plan feels like service changes instead of an actual plan to redesign the whole network Also I will be missing seeing the 34s coming through Kissena, we'll see how that goes with the 25
  5. Im neutral with the final plan cuz they are stating the bus will come every 4 minutes am to pm so Im just crossing my fingers the bus would be reliable. I live by the bus and when I go to one stop on the Q6, them buses are crowded or not in service.
  6. Hey at least they keeping the Q6 Limited and not merging it with the Q1 Also I notice that Sutphin between Jamaica Ave and 97th Ave is still gonna be congested like usual
  7. Omg it really is like some stops I go to got removed for "better service" like... 🤦🏾‍♂️ But like ehh... I guess it could work..? idk
  8. I can't lie, this map looks actually fine, some inconstancies with the map, but I see that this looks a lot better than in the draft plan But question, where did this come from?
  9. That's crazy if they were thinking of terminating at Queensboro instead of Manhattan... Im glad they made up their minds a bit
  10. Ahh yes that's what I was thinking too, It would make the Q60 a bit more reliable and less cluttered south down Sutphin. But even now the current route during rush hour many people would flock to the Q60 at Sutphin/Archer southbound to 109th/157th to take them to their local stops (including me if the Q6 is crowded). I also think that it could also be a Limited/Rush that way it serves a purpose, but my mind is thinking other ways it probably wouldn't work, conflicting with traffic, express buses and having it conflict with other local bus routes etc... maybe... who knows
  11. Im surprised to hear that these buses are not holding up so well... Considering that being made how many years ago? I shouldn't be at that point
  12. Ehh.. Ig you're right on that, extending it would be trashier, they just left it as is and I don't blame them.
  13. I’m surprised they haven’t changed much of the Q60 route and just removed stops, they could have at least extended it? Or made it a limited
  14. I’m gonna miss the Orions on those routes tbh, but it’s nice that BP, JK, & FR are receiving new buses, they needed them a lot. I’ve been seeing them more frequently on the Q6, Q8, Q40, Q60, & Q64
  15. Hellooo everyone I am Josh, I’m 18 right now and live in Queens NY. I’ve recently stumbled into this forums as of March but I wasn’t really active but now I am bc I’ve been recently interested in MTA/NYCT Bus operations 😅 I’m based in queens and my usual routes are Q6, Q8, Q25, Q34, Q54, Q60, Q65, Q83! I am also a traffic light/transportation enthusiast too and may work in the NYDOT or MTA at some point in my life. I hope to meet you all and good day! 😁👍🏾
  16. Yo I’m Josh I come in peace, to whoever’s reading this on my profile, have a good day 🙏🏾
