All we need now is for the R211S test train to enter service. I mean, it already has flags and whatnot, and production sets have been spotted? Any info on how much longer till service starts? Also, is it doing a 30 day test?

Also, I've noticed that the R211T running on the C is 10 cars long (2 trainsets w/ 5 cars each). I know that the C is just a local A, which uses 10 cars, but doesn't the C train run with exclusively 8 cars (2 trainsets w/ 4 cars each)? Is this part of a modernization program to extend the C to 10 cars?

Question, are the R211Ts interoperable with the R211As? If so, would the MTA run them together? I assume it'd be a very rare thing like the R160A and R160B together.

Not related to the R211, but PATH is technically a railroad under FRA jurisdiction and has full installation of PTC and CBTC.

It happened I guess. The 2nd train of R211As in service (4070-4079) finally ran in service on the Rockaway Park Shuttle. It was seen running today @6:58am. But it was signed up as a Shuttle to Far Rockaway but.. the shuttle doesn't go to Far Rockaway. Which just convinces me that this is just a rerouted A train of some sort. x

Now that the pilot R211A has presumably completed its 30 day revenue service test successfully, more R211A cars have apparently been delivered to SBK in the midnight hours of 2023-06-20. The cars are assumed to be part of the 5 car set 4090-4094. If this is true, following the previous delivery pattern, the cars that were delivered are cars 4094 and 4093. 21 days. Today, 2023-06-09, is the 21st day of the R211A pilot (4060-4064, 4069-4065) trains 30 day revenue service acceptance test. 9 more days to go, the test ends on June 18/19th.

What about the R211S 5-car pilot train (100-104)? Aren't there any updates with those? When are they going to start testing (not the 30 day test)?

It was reported to have been last seen at Fulton St moving uptown, presumably to 207th Street Yard. Yes, the pilot (4060-4064, 4069-4065).

Ye, is the bullet just gonna display the SIR logo, local/exp, i don't know.. Is it even fully programmed, with all that time it spent at Kawasaki, it should be programmed. I really wanna see it signed up/programmed to a route/dest.
