  1. No wonder why I was seeing 46 after 46 after 46 on the (A). I rode a 46 from PABT to Hoyt and All I saw was (like 1 or 2) (E) trains (160), and several 46s on the (A)(C). I saw (and caught) only 1 179 on the (C) at 34th. I was dead by the time I saw the (F) at Jay St and the (G) at Hoyt

Has anyone figured out  the first message ever posted in the transit forums (or the oldest account)? The earliest post I could find was from July 2007 and earliest account was from May 2007.

The oldest account is Harry, the editor. idk about oldest post

  3. Hi, I want to do some paper NYC subways and I want some requests! Here are the rules for this thread:

    1. Request a New York City subway car (I prefer R-types best) something like this:

Example 1: 'Hey, I would like you to make an R211A on the (A) line.'

Example 2: 'Hey, can you make an R38, numbered 4149 on the (C)?'

Example 3: 'Can you make 2 cars of R42 on the (J), numbers 4616-17?'

    Or however you want.

    2. I will make the subway car(s)*

    3. I will send pictures through this website in order to call it compete and make you happy.

*Note: It will take a minimum of 2 days and a maximum of 4 days to complete just one subway car.

So far, I have made these subway cars

    1. R32 3741, (C)

    2. R40S 4207, (B)

    3. R33ML 8972, (7)

    4. R33WF 9306, <7>

5 (under construction). R12 5722, (7), will be finished by Sunday

    Put in your requests!!!

    * R142 Jerome Av (4) count is at 19 10-car trains with a 5-car spare (Total included for the R142A = 41 10-car trains. 1201-1205 are retired and used as a parts unit.

    * R211 count (Pitkin Yard overall): 4040-4059 -> 2 gangway trains for the (C) , 4060-4204 -> 145 cars (14 trains) overall for the (A) . However, 4080-4089 are out of service.

I don't believe this. I agree with the post above. The 142s are only 25 years old max. Why would they start retiring now?

  5. @TyBusLover1 Here you go! R40 Slant numbered 4207 on the (B)! My 4th train in papercraft! This piece of paper will go along with R32 3741, R33ML 8972, and R33WF 9306!

Btw, my 5th train that I'm planning to make is an R12 on the (7). I have no exact fleet number yet, but If you want me to do anymore of these, let me know, and they will be after the R12. All the lines of all the cars are underneath:

    R32 3741: (C)

    This train: (B)

    R33ML 8972: (7)

    R33WF 9306: <7>

    The R12 I'm planning on: (7)

    Hope you like it!

When do yall think theyll sign off on the 2nd option order?

I mean, if they do, maybe around next year, when the base is almost done/done and when OOI is starting to get delivered. That's what I think

    A video of R211 4185-9 with 4060-4 coupled.

Look at Metro CSW's post and then my post above that. I pointed that out yesterday. As he said, it was only to see if the pilots can go with production cars.
