That's 26 NTTs for the "A" train. I wonder how many NTTs does the "C" train have now that the "M" train is back to normal service.

    130 As + 100 5-car 179s = 23 NTT 10-car sets. Some are still spares.

    For the C: 2 10-car trains and 8-9 8-car trains, like @Calvin said.

I've seen R211T 4040-4049 on the (C) . Nothing bad but noticed that the train has noticeable steel dust on the outside.

I've noticed 4049 with no NYS on the left side of the train. It got tagged, though.

Ladies and gentlemen, you love to see it; 4085-89 has returned to service after almost six months OOS. Coupled with 4160-64.

Nice, and I saw that 4080-84 had moved spots in the yard, from one spot to another.

  5. I was at work. Didn't feel shit.

At first, I heard people talking about it and how they felt it.. Then, the minute after it happened I looked it up and I'm like 'Oh, shit. This is stupid.' Then, I went my merry way and did what I usually do.

Allegedly, people in Philly felt it, which is how KOP, Pottstown, and even Reading felt it. This feels like an American version of the Taiwan earthquake that happened not too long ago.

I felt dumbfounded during the entire thing. I thought an earthquake would have hit San Fran. But I hope no one here felt it.

  6. So here's every line and the next rolling stock I plan to make for them:

    (A)(N)(Q)(R)(SR) R46

    (B) R68A

    (C) R179

    (D)(SF) R68

    (E)(F)<F>(G)(M)(W)(Z) R160

    (J)(L) R143

    (1)(6)(S) R62A

    (2) R142

    (3) R62

    (4)<6> R142A

    (5) R33ML

    (7)<7> R188

    Defunct lines: <M> R42 or (9) R62A

What do you want me to do first? I'm trying to start the (D) as of today

The worst performing ones, no matter which yard they are assigned to, will be retired first.  On this board we have no way of knowing if the ones recently transferred to CIYD, right now presumably to increase the spare factor, are good performers or bad performers.  A good performer today, can very well become a horrible performer next week/month because they are all old and tired cars.  Which sets will be the first ones to be retired are made by the suits downtown.

I wish you guys would hop on the R46 train and enjoy the ride, rather than always wanting to be the first guys to find out the order of retirements............whenever that starts to happen.

That's the entire site for you. Literally, 'Are any 46s retired yet?' 'What 46s are transferred?' 'Why didn't they start retiring them?'

I wish I could hop on a 46 again. My first ride was smooth as shit and I loved it (besides a dude talking about how their mom got chopped up when he was 6).

I also wish I could see it with its replacement side-by-side, but that might be planned much sooner than I anticipated, and I might not see it by the time I move to the city.

Hello! I was in Philadelphia this past weekend and liking the Xcelisors...I know, better get use to it.

Anyways, is there something wrong with the DE40LFRs besides their age? Rode #8410 on the 5...the "scenic" 5 route (yes I know...detour) and every few minutes, the bus would vibrate to a stop. It ran fine just the vibrate to a stop caught me off guard. Didn't notice that on the other buses. Some other observations...

    #3595? on the 124

    #3560 on the 45

    #3466 on the 125

    #3627 on the 125

    #8154, #8393, #8422, #8488 on the 15

    #3317 on the 23

By the way, those XDE40s...#3000-3524 sound similar to NYCT #9510-9559 and Suffolk Transit's XDE35 and XDE40, correct? They don't sound like the other New Flyers.

Finally, has the 99 route entering King of Prussia mall (Mall Blvd) always made the quick right turn once on Mall Blvd? I thought it followed the 123, 124 and 125 to the Transit Center of the Mall. Also, the 47 and 57 routes gave me a headache with their re-routes...UGH!

Anyways, will be returning to Philadelphia soon. Was there visiting family for the weekend!

There are yellow cords to request a stop on every bus in Philly. Maybe that's why
