  1. 2 Things

    1. Nobody answered my question about 142s 6381-85 (well, Calvin sorta did). What set is that with? Was it with 6766-70? If so, was it with that set on 2/18? If not, what set is it with?

    2. There is no southbound (A)(C) service from Manhattan to Brooklyn.

For service to Brooklyn, take a (B)(D) or (F) train at W 4 St.

    What's Happening?

Trains are delayed while we investigate why a train's brakes activated at Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts.

    Service Changes:

Southbound (A)(C) trains will end at World Trade Center (E) or 2 Av (F)

had 4075-79 as part of one train I worked today. she has the up-to-date software, the set she was coupled to, IIRC 4105-09, did not. was working southbound with 4079 as my operating position.

4105-09 is connected with 4135-39 as of now. 4075-79's mate would be 4090-94

Has anyone else read the M5 specs from SEPTA? There are some interesting details in there.

The M5s will have offset doors, for example, and route-map displays inside (showing the next X stops and which side the doors will open), and destination displays on the front. They haven't decided the seating arrangement yet; they want the manufacturer to propose three different options. But there will be one bicycle area per car.

Sadly, they will be in married pairs with end doors; I see no mention of open gangways.

    So it's like the R211s...

They don't merge the R142 units on the (2) (5) like that. 6301-6345, 6351-6715 are mated with each other because they are out of 239 St Yard while 6716-7130 are at East 180 Street Yard.

Fair point. Obviously not al 239 sets run on the 2 and not all 180 sets run on the 5.

All we need now is for the R211S test train to enter service. I mean, it already has flags and whatnot, and production sets have been spotted? Any info on how much longer till service starts? Also, is it doing a 30 day test?

    2 answers

    1. Supposedly it will hit service sometime next month

    2. Yes, it is gonna do a 30-day test.

How? The C runs completely below ground.

The NYPD needs to harshly penalize these teens (and their parents) who are involved in vandalism and/or subway surfing.

Oh idk, but it's true. And PSDs need to come in play soon, basically like 2 posts above this one. (your first post of the page)
