  1. Updated as of 7:50PM on 12/11/12: http://www.ttmg.org/mediawiki/index.php?title=New_York_MTA_Bus_Operations_Depot_Roster

    Changes

    610 & 624 New to CP

    2199 to CH from MA

    2891 to MA from CA

    2899 to CA from MA

    2903 to YU from MA

    5300 New to MQ

5602, 5604-5605 to GH from MQ

    5661 to WF from GH

6671 Off the Roster (Awaiting Details)

8902 to FB from System Reserve

9378 is pending scrap I think I'm not sure. It has a work order to see if it's frame is fit for duty. NO farebox

Still assigned to QV but is just OOS (For Now)

  2. Makes you wonder how long 639 and 647 are gonna stay at Stengel if 622 is already in...eventually the numbers are gonna run into each other

I was wondering the same thing and the crazy part is that 639 and 647 are still in VERY heavy rotation at CS. But I see by the end of the week them two girls being good and gone!

  3. 163 was on the Q41 and Q8 yesterday, they aren't assigned to Far Rockaway since its closed, they use anything thats at JFK including the storage lot across from the depot, hence why JFK's hybirds and RTS were on the Q22 as well

Far Rock is temporarily closed as a physical depot, but it is not closed in the system and buses are assigned to that depot even though they are TEMPORARILY parking them at JFK.

  4. Just seen the update, a lot of these make sense like SC finally going all CNG, some of the older RTSes getting the axe, the older buses getting pushed out of TU and KB, etc...but a couple others are out of left field...8793 in at 126th? 8989 was a real runner, surprised at that switch. All these 18-1900s back from the dead as well, that one came out of nowhere. Don't understand the math at LGA either, just seems like a lot of buses leaving with nothing coming.

I'm awaiting some finals on LG, so the LG part of the roster is in limbo, but I wasn't going to hold up the rest of the roster waiting for that info from my source. Hopefully I will have LG straightened by tomorrow afternoon.

5138 At ENY I rode it twice on the Q24 today. It was still wearing FLA Decals

That was already changed on the roster

  5. So, what you're saying is that there's a possibility that not all of the Orion V CNGs will be retired from CP ?

Its a possibility....74 buses to replace 83 buses....doesn't add up. And, there hasn't been word if any of the 120 bus option has been excersized (Yes 120, 90 Options off the original order and 30 options off the order transferred from Orion).

  6. Has any of average or above intelligence folks done the math? There isn't enough C40LFs ordered to replace the remaining Orion 5 CNGs...lets do the math!

51 Orion 5 CNGs left at College Point....However CP is only getting 40 more C40LFs

11 Orion 5 CNGs and 31 Orion 7 HEVs at Spring Creek...However SC is only getting 30 more C40LFs.

Now supposedly, the C40LFs going to SC is suppose to replace the Orion 5s and 7s, this will leave SC 12 buses shy of meeting that quota. So my though process is that SC will NOT loose all of its O7HEVs after all. We'll see....

College Point is also 11 buses short of meeting the replacements of all the Orion 5 CNGs, however unlike SC, there is no scenario I can estimate on except maybe they'll keep the 11 BEST O5CNGs. BUT I do also know that the tanks are due to dereg on those buses no matter what condition the bodies are in. So something still doesn't add up.

  7. Why have 30 each?? Cause I lovee XD40s so I need some to ride....then there's allison novas....and the inward opening doors with rear facing seats...already got two great buses...then castletons orion Vs....that look brand new...sound great....and move very fast! Plus 3gs...cause their new....so I'm very happy everyday on the S52/S53

OK reality check folks.....These fantasy assignments of y'alls will not work...AT ALL! Why, having so many bus types in one location is a logistical and maintenance nightmare as the stock rooms have to stock parts for all the bus types. This is why for the MOST part you don't see more than 3 bus types in one depot. The NBQP or BTE buses were exceptions except now that the qualification period is over they are moving buses around to minimize over-variety at the depots. Now take Ulmer Park for example, when the smoke clears from the bus movements (because the NBQP buses aren't done shifting around), UP will probably only have 4 bus types (maybe 3 if the rumored Prevost move happens). That's what its about. Logistics, Maintenance, Average Fleet Age and Mileage all makes up the decisions on bus movements in the system unless you have the occasional couple of buses show up at a depot if there is a large scale maintenance program in place such as the current repaint program.

  8. No 185 is still at NESF it's the blueprint. They're going to keep it until everything is done, thats what I heard.

185 is no longer the blueprint bus. Blueprint buses stay at the manufacturing plant, not at the service center. This is why 5771 and 5896 has not shown up yet, 5771 is the Thermo King Blueprint Bus and 5896 is the Carrier Blueprint Bus. We probably won't see 2252 for a while neither.

185 was sent to us prematurely because at the time the C40LF order was completed (in terms of being built, not being delivered) so they shipped 185, but then Daimler shifted its order to New Flyer, so it was too late.

    source?

Do you think everyone will just give up their sources?! Some of y'all don't know anything about protecting your ace in the hole.

  9. when FP get 4096, 4111, 4139 will replace 9206 and 9219 sent to MTA Bus

4513 still at CHA for a whlie will return back to GA???

when CHA get 4431 from YUK???

3877-3897 at 126 they return back to Manhattanviile for local routes

Unless OS is loosing a route to MV, it makes zero sense for OS to loose 21 buses without the loss of runs or a full route and not get buses in return.
