  1. So the new Prevosts are coming already?

    Yup, they're not in service they just running around being tested. But S.I. isn't getting them right now so its between Queens & UP but I haven't seen or heard anything over here at UP so i'm guessing they went back to Jersey or Zerega.

     

    There's new Prevost? Why is that order so quiet?This unknown order...how many are the MTA getting and where are they going?

    Yup its 2490 + But they're late I think they were suppose to arrive last month IIRC.

    S78, All the buses are switched except 7088, thank you for that information.

     

    7088 is marked off the roster permanently due to an accident that happened in 2012 I believe.

     

    Also, the S78 is at Charleston, has a school tripper from Castleton, and was assigned to Yukon on the weekends. That setup is over, since Charleston is now a full-time depot, the roster is fixed to reflect those changes.

    What accident? it never had an accident .. it had engine - tranny problems. I saw it the day before they took it away for good from the airport and then I saw it about a month & a half ago at the Vendor again it looked the same as before when it left and still had the same ads and everything .

  3. Why are they scrapping a MCI ?

    It's either scrap or they're fixing it. The back covers are missing, wheel chair door missing, panels missing? Front doors missing, front windshields missing. I should've gotten a picture but I didn't, I'm looking for 5088 it was removed from UP 2 weeks ago I didn't see it at EC so they're probably fixing it .

    All Xcelsiors that were in the vendor are replaced back in UP. Since buses usually return back to the depot they were sent to the vendor from, there's no need to track them. Is there any Xcelsiors besides 4899 that are out of service for the forseeable future? And also, what's the word on the MJQ bus that was involved in that unfortunate accident?

     

     

    Meant to mention, as reported by DannyBoy825, 500 is on loan at WF from SC. Seen on the Bx36 last night. Since I know that's gonna return back, it is not on the roster.

    4899 is the only one that's out so far but I'll check in for anything else later this evening . As for 5299... It's on hold

    For further investigation, it's tarped off at the front though. Most likely they'll A. Fix it, B. get rid of it, C. Just replace it with a whole new one. When Edwin Thomas got killed on 9666 nobody wanted to drive the bus that he died on they had to tow it back to the depot and they scrapped it because of his passing.

  5. Let's not forget Ulmer Park has been a dumping grounds. For years theg got seconds hand garbage and fix them up. There original Nova are still running at MTA BUS. GH gave those horrible 88xx turned them into gold almost. The 47xx from Amsterdam were shot they still got them past average with there age.

     

    UP has to work with what they have and 4855-4896 were killed by CAS, Way before UP got them be foreal. Queens has way more subpar garages with newer buses..

    Well they got the 9300's Express RTSs Brand new.... They got 4840-4869 Brand new, EN took 4840-4854 from them. 4855-4869 + 4899 were the only new original batch they were left with. You mean S.I. Killed 4870-4898... But 4899 isn't at U.P. its been gone for almost a year because the Engine TA put in there (Truck engine + City transmission) Killed it all together theres a tranny that goes with that truck engine but transit wants to be cheap.

  6. Its a lazy depot. Its nothing new. When they only had RTS it didnt look as bad because there was soo much, and any break downs that RTS had, people would assume its normal due to the RTS age. But as you can see, the Xcelsiors are not looking so good. People said ENY Xcelsiors would get destroyed at ENY, but look at them now. Most are freshly washed and sparkling, run good, etc. UPs still filty, with broken pull cords.

    Well it's not that they're lazy, actually S.I gave UP the beat up batch, and UP gave the good half to EN but EN is takin better care of those buses than UP.

    Maybe its time for U.P, to transfer ALL of the XD-40s to another depot. Hint CS or QV or MJQ

    Didn't we all go through this before lol... Not happening .

    The XD40's at UP are failing in troubling amounts... what is going on? I think it's the excessive capping UP has done to those buses.

     

    And I'll drop 5079, and place those 96's in UP for now.

    It's not about the buses being capped it's how MTA set them up. LBSS is fine but they set them too slow and the engine is crapping out & btw 4884,4887 came back yesterday (Saturday) from the vendor. UP doesn't have 96's.. You mean the loaners from EN/FB 4900's & 5000's.
  7. 4839 is back at ENY - was on the B42 yesterday.

     

    The roster is updated and reflects all the missing buses from UP, but does not mention any loans to UP, since the buses seem to rotate almost everyday.

     

    Also, 3634 is in BP, and 6731 at TU.

    Well 4955, 4995, 5041, 5052, 5131, 5196, and a couple others are still at UP from EN/FB. 5079 was dragged out the yard Friday around 3:30pm to CMF and a few XD40's were dragged out within this past week as well.
