It looks like 49th st is the new Court st after Sandy when there was signal problems almost every day.

So is it Because of midday service why thy don't do Utica G'O's anymore ?
0 -
They did it after the redbirds but not too often. They usually do it when the has to terminate at Utica due to Livonia Line work.Maybe now that they are working on the EL they will do it at some point. But now they have a new tactic. terminates at Bowling Green. terminates at Flatbush. And terminates at Utica

On a side note Trainmaster 5 they haven't done that G.O on a
Weekday in quite some time.I think since the started running Middays to Flatbush it would be just to
Inconvenient to do it.

So there was actually a problem at Brooklyn Museum and they had to find people to move those trains?

I do realize but there should be some crew avaliable in my opinion or store these trains somewhere else maybe.
Let's say there would be a police investigation at 49th st that would last a few hours.Im sure they would get a crew to move the train.Trust me they would

No because those trains don't leave 49th Street on the Express tracks until after 4 PM so that's why sent some Trains via 6th Avenue
It would be nice if a service change (like a signal problem that lasts 2 hours or more) they could somehow get those trains out of the way.Back on the day in the Utica G.O when Trains were terminating at Utica and service was suspended between Utica and Atlantic they would lay up and trains on the express tracks .Lets say something would go wrong on the local tracks those layup trains would be in the way.I mean is there an emergency plan in these situations?

Due to signal problems at Howard Beach-JFK Airport, the following service changes are in effect:
Some southbound trains are terminating at Euclid Av.
Southbound trains are running with delays.
Allow additional travel time.
I hate when they do this. Lefferts Boulevard can handle 9-12 trains per hour on the . No reason why they can't.
Agreed.

There are signal problems at Howard beach.I hope the thieves didn't come back.

It depends how temporary it is.

I don't see why they have to go
To 6th Ave.I think it's too much.

But why not run them express and just skip 49th st? Don't tell me it's because of layups.move them out of the way!

Due to a police investigation of a customer injury at Delancey St-Essex St, the following service changes are in effect:
There is no train service between Broad St and Marcy Av in both directions.
71 Av bound M trains are running with delays.
This train was the 23:07 out of Broad. The 22:31 out of Conteneal was stuck behind this train for about an hour. They tried to get a door panel into station but it failed. I wonder why they couldn't have Broad St Bound train service run until it cleared up.

It looks like a train struck some power cables or something.

I have a feeling it's over by now and it wasn't officially announced so they didn't update the advisory

Due to a train with mechanical problems at Graham Av, 8 Av-bound( L) trains are running with delays.
Some Canarsie-bound trains terminate at Myrtle Av.
Allow additional travel time.
I don't see why the trains terminating at Myrtle would help.

Due to signal problems at Eastchester-Dyre Av, there is no train service between E 180 St and Eastchester-Dyre Av in both directions.
Allow additional travel time.
I have been very into the MTA's faults lately into these service advisories lately and thinking that they can do a little better.I have to admit this one has been going on for over an hour.No alternatives for the riders? Does anyone take this line after midnight?
Also yesterday for the train that was knocked out for over 4 hours it would be nice if they gave a small explanation. They should want to interact with their riders.Am I not right?

Anyone notice there has been a lot of advisories today.I wonder if they are trying to post more advisories.

That's interesting earlier there was FDNY activity at the same station.Wonder if the 2 incidents are related.

Due to a train with mechanical problems at Ditmas Av, northbound Subway Line Icon trains express from Avenue X to Smith-9 Sts.
Allow additional travel time.
I think it just ended as I typed this. But it has to do a whole express run like that?
By the way I think these mechanical problems are mainly actual signal problems.

The reason why I would suspend it was Becusae 96th they were using to turn the 1 so I don't know if they were able to turn the 3 there. So with no real place to turn it without affecting service I would just suspend it since the 2 makes the same stops from 135 anyway.

Due to a rail condition at 135 St, There is no train service between 96 St and Harlem-148 St in both directions.
As an alternate customers can take the M7 bus for service between 96 St and Harlem-148 St.
Allow additional travel time.
Since it's not running to New Lots if you were a dispatcher would you suspend it altogether in this situation?
